  • Super bright Monitor that's Super easy to set-up
Style: 32" IPS 4K HDR600
4/5 Rating First off - I love Asus products. I have Asus IX Maximus Motherboard, I have ASUS 1080 TI STRIX Graphics Card and now I have Asus 32 in 4K Monitor. This thing is nice. It is not my first 4K monitor as I currently use the BEnQ321C monitor as my primary photography / video editing monitor. I'm not too crazy about this monitor as it was extremely over exaggerated. It works well, but I do not think it was worth the $2K. In comes this monitor as I was looking for a second monitor to match the size. This monitor arrived a day earlier than expected and was super easy to put together. I was able to unpack and put this monitor together in less than 30 mins which was a lot faster than the BenQ. This monitor is SUPER BRIGHT!!! I love it. but it can be extreme. I have to lower the brightness to 25-30 as it overpowers my BenQ monitor easily. The picture quality is very good. I do not see the exact quality as advertised but it's still very good. I like that it has many different settings Adobe RBG, SRGB, DP3, Rec 2020.. I calibrated the monitor once it arrived and it almost matches my BenQ perfectly. My main gripe with this is really the Menu and how you access it. I'm spoiled by the BenQ monitor which has a mini puck that separates from the monitor and you can access all menus thru the puck, no need to touch the tv. This monitor the menu and all it's settings must be access behind the monitor which seems like a minor annoyance. Overall, this is a very good monitor, I do not think it compares to the PA32UC or PA32UX but it's pretty decent. The color are nice and it was super simple to set up. So far I'm happy. It's far from perfect but it serves it's purpose. Pros Easy to set up Many different mode settings Picture quality is pretty good - Not excellent but good Displays colors pretty good Super Bright Cons Super bright Have to reach behind the monitor to access menu Most I/O ports are located un the rear of the monitor at the bottom which is a somewhat awkward position. It makes it difficult to attach anything without having to rotate the monitor. ... show more

  • Beautiful panel; HORRIBLE QC
Style: 32" IPS 4K HDR600
This is a review based on initial impressions. It will be updated as I gain more experience with the product. The panel is bright, beautiful, responsive, and accurate. However, I have yet to see one that is not defective. The first one I purchased had at least 11 dark spots and 3 bright ones. This is completely unacceptable for a premium product intended for photo editing and detail-oriented work. Because there appears to be a shortage of these, I sent it to Asus for warranty repair/replacement. Asus does not cross-ship warranty items, and the advertised turn-around time is 5-10 business days. Taking into account shipping, this means about a month without the monitor. I ordered a second monitor once they again became available for a price close the MSRP. Just like the first, this one was defective. I counted 8 dark spots and a whole sea of smaller bright (mostly green) spots, in very conspicuous places (upper middle portion of the panel). Needless to say, I will be returning it. By the way, the "zero bright dot" warranty allows for up to 5 dark spots. This is also unacceptable, as the dark spots can be just as bad if not worse than the bright ones. For a monitor in this price range, no amount of defective pixels upon arrival is acceptable. Imagine spending >$1000 for a monitor only to stare at a constellation of very obvious dark spots, and being told to live with it (see attached image). Completely nuts. We use 32" Dell panels at work, and I have yet to find a single one with ANY dead pixels, dark or bright. Why can't Asus get it right? Still hopeful that one way or another I will end up with a non-defective monitor. Will update as this develops. This would get 5 stars if not for the ridiculously bad quality control. [2022-05-13 Update] I received the "repaired" unit from Asus. It is still full of dead pixels and what appears to be internal dust. Not as bad as the unit I sent in, but still unacceptable. I counted at least 8 dark spots (one near the middle of the screen with a ~4 pixel radius) and at least one bright (pink) spot within a few minutes of testing the monitor upon receipt. It's going back to Asus again... [2022-05-18 Update] I wanted to like this monitor, I really did. It had great specs and the idea was ALMOST well executed. However, after sampling 4 units, including one "repaired" by Asus, and finding every single one defective in the same way (at least 7 very obvious dead pixels in each one), I give up. A 100% failure rate from 4 random samples is unacceptable, no matter how good a working product is. I am now convinced that this monitor exists only on paper and that Asus is unable to actually produce it, which is a shame, because up to this point I only had good things to say about Asus products going back to 2003 and usually recommended them. I can no longer do so in good faith. If Asus wants me to continue to QC their products, they will have to start paying me for my time. Also the firmware seems very buggy: I have to reset the monitor (and sometime my computer) several times to get it to connect over HDMI and to get it to receive a USB-C signal from a different machine when it comes back from sleep mode. [TL:DR]: don't buy it. ... show more
