  • Accurate, Accessible, and a good gateway
This monitor couldn’t have been more perfect for my work, and for what I was shopping for. Colors are really accurate, there’s plenty of features to adjust values to help calibrate it. the materials are quality, and brightness is more than sufficient. I often game as well on it and hardly had any issues, maybe in a few games where frame-rate is important, but I play more for high graphics settings rather than high frame rates. A great value. ... show more

  • Vivid, high quality display
A review from over a year of owning this: I got this to do art and occasionally play games. Refresh rate is great, especially when gaming or editing 60fps videos. Screen is the perfect size for my desk and I love that I can extend it and use it when I’m standing. Color is excellent and I appreciate the ability to check real life dimensions from within the screen. I have no dead pixels and I’ve been using it for over a year with no issue. While the brightness is adjustable and can go pretty high, there’s a bit of screen burn-in (that fades given time) which is to be expected. I generally keep to the default sRGB and lower brightness to avoid this because it can mess with color appearances which isn’t ideal for art. The only major downside of this is that the speakers are really poor quality. I got some cheap, 20+ year old external speakers to plug in because it really was that bad and the cheap external speakers are significantly better. If you are editing videos with audio or like to listen to music while you work, you’ll need headphones or speakers. I’d almost rather this monitor didn’t come with built in speakers as it feels like such a waste for something so poor quality. But I suppose if you just need something to hear alerts or notification sounds, it could be just what you need. Overall, I’m a very happy digital artist with this monitor! ... show more

  • A real computer monitor (not a cheap TV)
I liked the older, smaller TN computer monitors, that had good contrast at low brightness so you could comfortably read black text on a white background. I've tried IPS monitors before that were clearly just cheap glossy TV panels, way too much brightness and saturation, no contrast, and horrible smudges from backlight bleed covering half the screen. Computer monitors are supposed to be better than TVs. Also, once you get past 24" or so, 1080 is way too blurry up close. This one is excellent, exactly what I was looking for. It's still bright enough to be used as a TV if that's what you want, but with the brightness turned down it works as a real computer monitor with excellent color and good contrast, the kind you would use at a desk with a mouse and keyboard. The screen is very consistent, with no visible glow or bleeding from the edges, even when the screen is black. The stand is impressive, very simple to put together, very easy to adjust but also very stable. They're probably overselling this a little bit for high-end professional work, 100% sRGB (with the brightness turned all the way down) isn't actually that impressive, but I don't care what they call it as long as I can get a good quality, general purpose monitor at a decent price. ... show more

  • A very fine product.
This monitor has very good color depth. Gradient banding is almost completely indiscernible and really only shows up if you are displaying a full spectrum gradient that you might find as a test. During normal use there is no noticeable banding whatsoever. This monitor delivers on everything it promises. The 75hz refresh rate is plenty fast for me but some gamers may want a display with a bit faster refresh rate. My only gripe, which is really nothing, is that when changing from one source to another (DisplayPort to HDMI or vise versa) the on screen menu takes several clicks to get to the source change function. But all the buttons are on the front so you won't be reaching around the back side of the monitor to adjust anything. And if you are not switching sources it is a non-issue. Otherwise I have no complaints and enjoy using this monitor every single day. ... show more

  • Excellent Value
This is a great monitor. I don't see any backlight bleed, no dead pixels, and the colors look awesome. I was pleased with my 10 year old HP 2509m monitor and only upgraded because my employer gave me a work-from-home stipend to spend of home office upgrades. So I did not really need a new monitor, but since I spend 8+ hours per day looking at it, I figure I might as well upgrade. I spent a bit of time researching the options and decided on 2 27" QHD displays over 1 or 2 32" 4K displays. I figured that with the 4K displays at 32", I would have to increase the scaling or enlarge the fonts so that I would not practically gain much more desktop space. I sit about arms reach away from the monitor and 27" feels about the right size. I don't think I would want any larger. The monitor stand is excellent. I don't game on the monitor so I can't comment about refresh rate. I use the monitor mostly for productivity and occasionally watching something on Youtube. For programming, I really enjoy the larger QHD display over FHD. The extra screen real estate is nice and I don't want to go back to FHD. It's hard for me to imagine how the screen could look any better, but I wish ASUS offered a glossy (no anti-glare) option. I don't actually notice the anti-glare, but since I can control the lighting in my room, it's not needed and wish it wasn't there. Overall, this is a very good display and I bought a second. It delivers a lot of value for the money. It's a bargain. ... show more
