  • These are the Asus monitors to get These are the Asus monitors to get
Style: 24" USB-C Daisy-chain Mac
With the blue light filter and high color accuracy, these have been the best Asus monitors I have used so far. On some of the less expensive Asus monitors, I have noticed dead pixels and maybe a weird stand configuration. These are not issues that I have dealt with on these monitors. Currently I personally use four of this model of Asus monitor. The two in the picture have been in use every day for the past two years. No flickering, no issues. If you are trying to charge a laptop, and also get video from the usb c connection, that is apparently possible (depending on the device), but you will need to do a software update on the monitor first. You will need a clear usb drive for the software update. I would not plan on using power and video through a single cable though, especially for a laptop. Maybe you can use your iPad like that, but there can be issues with laptops. Plan to use a separate power cable, and second video only cable. This should not be a deal breaker, as there are so many docking station options that you probably should be using. Do not expect a monitor to act as a docking station as well. These monitors do have smaller speakers integrated into the frame. You can only send video with audio over hdmi, so do not expect to connect a DP or usb c cable up and get audio over video. Expect to install other speakers if you are using this as your main desktop though. The integrated speakers are more for OS sounds or to listen to someone talking. Music will not be full sounding, with the flat monitor speakers only of course. The 75 mhz screen refresh rate is correct, and works for me through both hdmi as well as dp video connections. Certainly a good value when you compare other monitors in this price range. For the same price you can get a non color accurate HP monitor. Or a Chinese made Samsung with a bunch of dead pixels. Or a reliable, but basic Dell monitor. I chose this monitor, again four times. Depending on the monitor size, you may receive different types of stands. The stand for the 24” version allows you to flip the monitor sideways without disassembling anything. The stands also hold the monitors securely, and do not move around while you are typing. Surprisingly I never thought the stand would be an issue until using some other Samsung monitors. These are VESA mount compatible. When you take the stand off, the mounting holes are underneath. Very clean monitor mounting as well. No extra weird part of the stand is poking out or anything. Like on some other HP and Samsung monitors. Games look super clear. But these monitors are really designed for the designer using illustrator or photoshop. Someone who needs color accuracy for correct print designing. Normal things, like the windows desktop, look beautiful though. So yes you can play games and it will look very clean. If you are debating going up to the 27” or 32” size, you will probably only need one monitor at either of those sizes. The 24” size is perfect for most normal desks with a two monitor setup. A single 27” could work in place of two 24” monitors, like at the desk setting in my pictures. I would not recommend the 32” unless you are using it in a conference room or sitting back from your screen a considerable distance, like minimum six feet. I have set up thousands of computer workstations throughout the mega office buildings around Northern Virginia and DC (this is not an exaggeration). This information has come from that experience in dealing with these workstation setups, and the issues created when moving all these items around. Make sure you are able to take your monitors out of the box and thoroughly test the screen before final install, within the return window time. This way you are not finding strange artifacts or scratches on your screen, from a rough delivery, after going through the trouble of removing the old monitors and installing the new ones. I have not run into monitors ruined from the delivery process often. But if you do, you will be glad you are in the return window still. ... show more

  • Great quality secondary monitor that works with everything!
Style: 24" USB-C Daisy-chain Mac
This ASUS monitor has been perfect as my second screen for my home office. The picture quality is impressive for the price point - colors pop nicely, videos look crisp, and it even handles gaming without issues. Really convenient having built-in speakers for those times I don't want to use headphones. The 23.8" size is perfect for a secondary display and it mounted easily on my monitor arm. Works perfectly with both my PC and Mac setups. If you need a reliable second monitor with good color accuracy and versatile connectivity, this is a great choice! ... show more

  • An almost perfect USB-C monitor
Style: 24" USB-C Daisy-chain Mac
Item arrived to Peru in its own package, in almost pristine condition. The monitor is gorgeous, works flawlessly with my Lenovo ThinkPad L14 via USB-C (charges the laptop at 65W and shows display as well) and works as a USB hub so you can plug your wired keyboard and mouse to the monitor and simply connect 1 USB-C cable to your laptop, PC, MacBook or Mac Mini. At US$ 169.15, I think it's a good value for what this monitor is capable of. Wish it has an RJ-45 Ethernet port but oh well... ... show more

  • No Calibration Software!
Style: 24" USB-C Daisy-chain Mac
I wanted to write this and let everyone know that these monitors really are very good. They come with all the cabling you will need and are very adjustable. I bought them for the PhotoShop work that I do and wanted something that was color calibrated, which I'm sure they are. However, I was under the impression that the monitors would come with software that would allow you to recalibrate the colors. They DO NOT come with this. I have created an account on the ASUS website and registered both of them, and went to the downloads section of this model and other models of the ProArt display... it's NOT there. I have also put in a chat support ticket with one of their reps. I was told basically to go buy a 3rd party calibration tool. I already have a Spyder, but I picked these up because I thought they had their own calibration software either built-in or downloadable. This is not the case. You can even Google around and find articles that show you how and where to download these tools, those pages are gone. If I am wrong, I hope an ASUS rep reaches out to me and shows me where to get their software. ... show more

  • Inexpensive calibrated color.
Style: 24" USB-C Daisy-chain Mac
My trusty old Eizo died. It was very expensive but lasted 15 years. This monitor was inexpensive but does exactly what I need. Good reliable, calibrated color for retouching photos.

  • Great Deal for a Photo Editing Monitor
Style: 24" USB-C Daisy-chain Mac
Got this on a special deal for $177.00. Since we have another 24" Pro Art (PA247QV), we were expecting the calibrated screen to perform as advertised. We use these mainly for photo sorting and editing and the 1920x1080 resolution is plenty for that purpose. It's definitely easier to work on this than a 13" MacBook Air's screen. The specs say it has a USB-C port, which I thought would simplify my cabling on the 2-port MBA. Turns out, it's a USB-C Out port, which can charge the laptop - but not send a signal to the monitor. (At least, from my trial and error tests - will read the manual eventually). * UPDATE * USB C is bi-directional - so yes, one connection from the MBA to the monitor for both charging and video signal, Woo hoo! It has three other USB (Type A) ports with enough current for charging, as well as DP in and out, and HDMI. It comes complete with cables for DP, HDMI and USB-C. The screen's case is a little thick and does not have holes for VESA mounting AFAIK - but it does make for a clean look, which may be important to you if it sits on a desk that isn't against a wall. The monitor has speakers - but don't expect much. Overall, since our purpose was for editing, this thing fits the bill for a very reasonable price. ... show more

  • Omg Amazing! Omg Amazing!
Style: 24" USB-C Daisy-chain Mac
I highly, highly recommend this monitor! The size is perfect, and the colors are very accurate. I use it for graphic design and picture editing. It was super easy to hook up, and I love the adjustable stand. You can raise, lower and tilt it easily. It has a little cable holder in the back so you can hide the cable... or you can take off the stand entirely to hook it up to a desk mount. I love it so much that I’ve been dreaming about adding a second one to my setup as soon as I can afford another! ... show more
