  • Great picture, motion blur without overdrive is unplayable though.
Style: 27" IPS QHD 1ms 170Hz G-SYNC Pattern: Monitor
Coming from a benQ monitor that has the premium AMA feature, (Which is a bit better than overdrive) the monitor definitely has noticeable blur without the overdrive feature. Below 100 fps you'll notice it alot. The more inconsistent the frame rate is in game, the worse the motion blur gets,. I'm a week in coming from a 1080p benq 144fps monitor, took a few days to get used to but the motion blur isn't bad on 80 overdrive (100 overdrive overshoots and causes inverse ghosting). While at a constant 120+ fps it's not noticeable much at all, just keep it on 80 overdrive. Not sure how people use this monitor without overdrive though, would get motion sick without overdrive. The picture quality is 10/10 your games will look alot better, just takes an hour to set up the colors you want (Out of the box it bleeds red, have to mess with RGB color settings for a bit) but once you get the rgb colors right it looks fantastic. Also the ELMB is very bad, it's almost laughable that they use it as a marketing feature, literally a 5% increase on blurr with it on, and you can't even use overdrive so it's useless. Overdrive gives you less ghosting than ELMB. overall I don't have much experience with other 1440p monitors, or maybe I'm just used to the quick motion of ben q monitors. It's worth the price if you have a good graphics card that can push consistent frames above 100. Picture is fantastic, looks better than benQ, but benQ has better motion. If I had to repurchase I would, due to the picture quality and 80 overdrive makes it not noticeable much once you're used to the motion. Potentially the best 300$ monitor for 1440p? ... show more

  • Great picture - G-Sync was on automatically though.
Style: 27" IPS QHD 1ms 170Hz G-SYNC Pattern: Monitor
I bought this monitor to use as my primary for streaming and gaming about a year ago. It's great! I was hoping for the model that can be adjusted vertically, however this one only tilts backwards/forwards, which is no big deal. I enjoy how tall it sits regardless and the base is really sturdy so I can elevate it pretty easily if i need to. My only issue with this monitor was (probably user-error) but G-Sync was on automatically. I don't know much about monitors admittedly - but this caused a LOT of my games to run at WAY too high of an FPS and cause frame drops on games such as Valheim (poorly optimized game, but i have a 3070ti, theres no way it should've dropped as many frames as it did) and others. Once I turned it off, everything has been pretty perfect. ... show more

  • The Best for FPS
Style: 27" QHD 0.4ms 165Hz G-SYNC Height Adjust... Pattern: Monitor
If your an FPS gamer and your able to hit 165 fps in the game your playing. The ASUS VG27BQ hits the spot, and I bought a ASUS VG278QR as my second monitor which is practically the same specs except for the BQ having a TFT LCD Panel that's faster than the 8QR's TN Panel with better depth perception/quality. I've been doming nerds with this setup for the past 3 years. ... show more

  • Great gaming monitor!
Style: 27" IPS QHD 1ms 165Hz G-SYNC Pattern: Monitor
The colors on this monitor are really nice, and so are the viewing angles (it has a good panel!). It has VESA mount capabilities so you can easily throw it on any monitor mount! The built in menu interface is really nice and easy to navigate! Make sure to check for dead pixels and pressure coloring after you receive it! ... show more

  • Good price and performance
Style: 27" IPS QHD 1ms 170Hz G-SYNC Pattern: Monitor
I found this to be a good 1440p monitor that works wonderfully. However there are two things that bother me. The first thing is that the screen is easy to scratch - I scratched mine within a couple weeks when wiping a spot off with a microfiber towel, so I have to be very careful when I wipe it. The other thing this is that the monitor will creak a couple times as it warms up, not sure if that's a tolerance issue or what but it is a little disappointing. ... show more

  • Solid quality for the price
Style: 27" IPS QHD 1ms 165Hz G-SYNC Pattern: Monitor
Bought this as my second monitor to go along with my MSI curved monitor. The curved monitor has a better picture quality, but only just slightly. It was also more expensive, though, so go figure. The stand on this monitor is much better than the MSI's, though. Asus kept it simple and sturdy. MSI's is sturdy, but takes up far too much space, having three long legs that get in the way and relegate that monitor to being a corner monitor only on my desk. The Asus one can go just about anywhere. ... show more

  • Best Priced Monitor Available
Style: 27" IPS QHD 1ms 165Hz G-SYNC Pattern: Monitor
The first monitor arrived with a purple smudge on the screen. LEDs were damaged during production and should have been caught before shipping from the factory. I Wasted ten minutes calling ASUS to just have them tell me that they call this type of damage Dead On Arrival and to get with Amazon. It took me one click to return the old monitor and I received a new one within two days. The new one is working great without any issues. Been running it for a week with various architectural, photo, and moving renderings as well as some light gaming. I would definitely purchase it again. Running at 2560x1440 resolution and high 200, low 300 FPS. ... show more

  • Good 1440p 144hz monitor
Style: 27" IPS QHD 1ms 170Hz G-SYNC Height Adjust Pattern: Monitor
This was a big step up from my 24" monitor in both size and quality/refresh rate. My one complaint is that I hate how they have moved the input switcher to the back and using a joystick to make the input selection. My old monitor had a dedicated input switcher button but with this I have to reach around behind the monitor, click into the menu, move it down 3 selections, then to the right then again to select the input - multiple steps which used to be a single button press. I share the monitor between home, work, and Macbook and switch between them multiple times a day. I wish I had got one with easier input switching. ... show more
