Great wifi card, purchased a second, but some "things to know". It states it's only for windows 11... but references windows 10 drivers to load. I have used this on 2 windows 10 desktops and the first instantly worked, no issues no requirements. The second required me to run a lan/hardwire connection for it to load drivers, then worked. The only caveat is on the second install it is running at half the speed of another cheap wifi card at the same distance (140 vs 280). That's good enough for the need, and I would likely buy another but am concerned about the potential driver issues. ... show more

    • Bluetooth not working? Here's what fixed it for me
On some PCs, Bluetooth on this card works readily, but not all and not mine. What fixed this issue for me appears below. First a step that's easy to miss. There's a small black cable in the Asus network card box. Wifi will work but Bluetooth will not work until you attach one end of that cable to the Asus card and the other to an open F-USB port on the motherboard. If you're not sure what you’re looking for, websearch “F-USB.” Some motherboards don’t have a free F-USB port. But even with that cable attached and after running the Asus software to install the drivers, I still had no Bluetooth. If you've already installed the card and the drivers, do all of the following, in this exact order. Shortcutting or doing this in a different sequence, Bluetooth would not work on my PC. If you didn’t already, go to the Asus website, hover over Support at the top, click on Drivers and Manuals, enter the model number "PCE-AC58BT" then click Drivers and Tools. Pick your OS and download the newest version of the driver installation program. The one on the disc in the box is older. If you installed the driver, go to Control Panel > Programs and Features, choose “Intel® Wireless Bluetooth,” and confirm you want to Uninstall it. Reboot if requested. Now run setup.exe in the downloaded Asus driver folder. Choose “Install the Bluetooth driver.” It will ask if you want to update to the same version driver. Choose Yes. Click Next a couple of times. You’ll come to a screen that says “Change, repair or remove installation” of “Intel Wireless Bluetooth.” Choose Remove. Shut the PC down. Remove the Asus card from the motherboard. Reboot. Don’t reinstall the card on the motherboard yet--again, with no Asus card in the slot!--run setup.exe again in the Asus program and choose again to “Install the Bluetooth driver”--only that one and not ASUS WLAN Card Driver yet. This time install the Bluetooth driver. When it completes, shut down the PC. Now install the Asus card in a PCI-E slot with the USB cable connected to a F-USB port on the motherboard and the antenna connected. Boot the PC up. Now Bluetooth should be listed in Control Panel > Device Manager and in Windows 10 under Settings > Devices, you should see a slider that can turn Bluetooth On or Off—when turned On, Bluetooth should work. Run setup.exe in the Asus install program one more time and this time “Install ASUS WLAN Card Driver.” Connect or log-in to a wireless router and wi-fi should now also work. ... show more

Works great. I buy Asus hardware a lot - they have really good hardware reliability. Also, this card uses an Intel wifi chip which is grade A in performance and reliability. Wifi has 3ms latency with fiber. It has Bluetooth 5.0, not bluetooth 5.2, which isn't too big a deal - I think the 5.2 upgrade is just a little bit of power savings for when Bluetooth devices aren't transmitting data. I have a wifi slot on my Asus prime motherboard for 10/11th Gen Intel. But this didn't fit in the back plates antenna cutout. So I had to take up a pcie slot under my GPU. I was hoping it would fit in the slot dedicated for a wifi card, but it's fine putting in a free slot. I'd rather asus reliability over saving $10 and getting something less reliable ... show more

    • Wow, 6E is super fast! Intel driver needed.

Installed easily, download the current driver from the Intel website (it won’t work on 6E with the windows driver) this is the only issue getting it installed is finding the correct driver. After that I get speeds beyond 1.2Gbs… Wi-Fi 6E is no joke, super fast! (Wi-Fi 6 is about 60% the speed of Wi-Fi 6E) You will need an open USB 2.0 header on your motherboard to use the Bluetooth, I didn’t have an open one so I just sacrificed the front USB 2.0 connection since I also have front USB 3.0. There is a splitter you can buy if you want to keep your front USB. No hesitation recommending to a friend. Worth every cent, love it! ... show more
