  • Good all round monitor, but spend a bit more for a 144Hz monitor if you game a lot.
Style: IPS
For a $150 1080p 27" monitor, this gets a lot of things right. Just be aware that the motion sync feature can cause major eyestrain. Pros: Good color quality Sleek design with very thin bezels Matte coating that reduces reflections HDMI cable included Lots of OSD options (with configurable profiles) Freesync (reduces tearing in games) Motion sync backlight strobing. This is usually reserved for 144Hz+ gaming monitors, but it is here, albeit gimped. Cons: Non height-adjustable stand (passable for price) OSD can be clunky to switch profiles. For some reason, ASUS includes two "shortcut" buttons (default is brightness and blue light filter), but does not let you use those shortcuts to switch profiles. You can however use it to switch from different presets (with splendid), but not saved profiles. This seems like an oversight to me, because instead of just two clicks to change profiles, you have to do much closer to 4 clicks. I think ASUS should have at least given the option to use the shortcuts to switch profiles. Motion Sync is a nice addition, but not as good as actual 144Hz panel (as it should be), and it can cause eyestrain. I have attatched some images of (approximately) what it looks like when it is enabled, but note that the double images get worse near the top and bottom of the screen. The double images are pretty bad, but in games, I didn't notice it that much. However, I did get eyestrain after about 15 minutes of gaming with the mode enabled because of the inherent strobing, even after having the monitor for a few days and trying to adjust to the strobing. Overall, I'm happy that ASUS included the option at all, but just know that the "1MS MPRT" marketing point is only valid with motion sync on which has all the aforementioned problems. The lowered brightness of the mode doesn't bother me nearly as much as the eyestrain and double images though. If you want a gaming monitor with hardware that can drive it (next gen console, gaming computer), I highly recommend just spending a little more for a 144Hz monitor, as this is priced at $150. Conclusion: This monitor is great for normal use. It's okay for gaming, but at a $150 MSRP, I'd recommend spending a bit more for a proper gaming monitor with actual 1MS response times and 144Hz refresh rates. ... show more

  • Great product
Style: IPS 75Hz w/DisplayPort
I was able to compare two screens sides by side and the Asus monitor blew my old monitor away. Setup was a breeze.

  • Thumbs up for Eye care feature
Style: IPS 100Hz Eye Care Plus
Purchased 2 of the 27 inch monitors for my WFM setup, using mostly Office365 and spreadsheets (non-gaming). Port is HDMI and easy to setup. The low blue light emissions and increased refresh rate definitely reduces eye strain and fatigue as compared to standard monitors. To be honest, I didn't think the eye care feature would make that much of a difference and I was surprised after working just one of use. Granted, it may be more of a placebo effect but it works. The image quality resolution are far better than I expected given that I use 125% increase or as I like to call it, the AARP screen setting. ... show more

  • A great everyday use monitor for the price, horrible controls
Style: IPS 75Hz w/DisplayPort
I like the price tag and I like that is is Asus. I have had perfect luck with their monitors in the past. Always start out with a few sticky pixels, get those working, tune er up and good to go. I like that it is 75Hz and I can run this mode no problem with Intel UHD 630 on Displayport output. I would recommend this monitor to anyone who doesn't like to waste money on the newest sales pitch. One major complaint I have about this monitor is the horrific menu controls. The most annoying thing about them is that there is not a dedicated source control button! This is extremely stupid. For example, to switch from HDMI to DisplayPort I have to click a button to go into a menu, click on a different button to pick Input Select, click on a different button to move to Display Port and then click on a different button to accept my selection! So dumb, my other monitors all I have to do is press *one button*, the source selection button, to cycle between the input options and when I am where I want to be I stop and it changes to use that source. This is so quick and easy! This is how every monitor on the planet should be, any monitor that isn't has been designed by a dingleberry. And that is not the only issue with the buttons madness on this thing. The menu controls on this monitor are truly horrible, there are many annoying factors about how they have to be manipulated to accomplish anything but I'd still recommend the monitor because after getting the initial tuning done I only need to use the accursed buttons once or twice a day. ... show more

  • Asus 27" monitor provides an excellent picture
Style: IPS 100Hz Adaptive-Sync
When I received this monitor, it came with an HDMI cable. I bought a DP cable and found it improved operation quite a bit. The price on this monitor was great for after Christmas shopping.

  • It Came Well Protected
Style: IPS 100Hz Eye Care Plus
With all the videos of package handlers kicking or throwing boxes, buying a monitor online was nerve racking. The packing was amazing. I mounted the monitor on an arm and plugged everything in. The screen quality rocks and it was way better for me to have one 27 inch rather than dual screens.
