This is a fun kit. But the pads are small,so hitting precice is somewhat difficult. The drum sounds aren't too bad,could be better. But I'll say that if you're using it as a drum midi or direct to an interface for recording using a DAW program..its very good. I'm glad I got it. Just wished I'd gotten the adult sized..bigger snare,you can rim shot,and choke the cymbals. This one..nope. And the adult model gives more drum sounds. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I have been playing drums since I was 9 years old. (I'm 36 now) In all that time, I've only owned acoustic drum sets and only got to jam on e-drums on a few select occasions. I finally decided to buy one and chose this kit and I do not regret it. At all. There's 12 distinct drum kit sounds to play around with, and the kit was easy to put together. It came with two pairs of sticks and headphones. The only reason why I didn't rank this kit higher is because there's only 12 drum kit sounds you can use and a few of them are on there twice, as regular and "live" versions. Also there's no demo grooves to play along with and no way to record or program what you play unless you connect it to your computer. I thought all e-drums came with more options than this one did. It's a fun kit to play, but you can get bored with the same sounds after some time. Fortuneatly there's software like audacity that allows you to record and manipulate sounds. Aside from that, it's a real joy! And like all e-drums, occasionally there may be a delay in response but it's not a burden or anything. If you want to control your volume and just love to sit there and groove, then this is well worth it! ... show more

It is great! The only problem or issue I have is the bass kick; it is kind of 'sticky'; don't know if I got a lemon or not, but I really have to stamp down on the thing...aside from that, everything works perfectly.

I have been playing drums for my church for about 6 months. I wanted the ability to practice without needing to go up to the church. I also needed the ability to keep it quiet as I would practice in the evenings and kids are in bed. I did not need great sound, just good enough to know the difference between the bass drum, snare, toms, or various cymbals. I am happy with this purchase. It is well built (although they could have included some simple instructions), comfortable to sit at (I am 6') the bass drum will sometimes trigger an extra note and if I am really going at the rim clicks too fast it will sometimes not register all the hits or it may not trigger the snare while also playing the rim. However it was not bought nor should it be used for performances. The sound quality is not good enough for that use. But it works great to develop grooves, practice timing, etc. ... show more

Easy to follow instructions and setup. Sounds great right out of box, fun to adjust various sound modes. Surprised to find auxiliary port to plug in guitar as well. Hi-Hat pedal not as sensitive as I hoped but I can get used to it. Great product!
