I'd been looking for good shoes with a wide toe box and zero drop and wanted to try out "minimalist" style shoes, but Xero and Vivo and other brands are prohibitively expensive to try it out. These are inexpensive enough to take a chance on and don't come off looking like clown shoes (like a lot of flat, wide-toe-box shoes), so I gave them a try. Short answer: These are great shoes. The build quality is better than I expected, I've been wearing them daily for about 6 weeks and they barely show it. I can bend and flex my feet and the shoes just bend with them. The sole is thick enough for protection, but I can still feel the ground underneath my feet. My toes don't feel scrunched together, and they just look like normal shoes. It's like wearing sandals, but with the safety of closed-toe shoes. As a bonus, they came boxed with a second set of laces (thicker "athletic" ones) and second set of insoles that reportedly have more arch support. I haven't tried either, but that the company went to the effort of including them is a consideration most don't take. I appreciate it. Like a lot of shoes, the sizing can be a little tricky because every brand seems to size slightly different. I'm usually a 10.5 or 11 for most. I ordered an 11 for these, but could probably go down to 10.5 for my next pair -- and I will be getting another pair when these wear out, or to have a different color. ... show more

I recognize the marketing of these shoes seem more for gym weight lifting, but I am writing this review for track runners too. These are great if you’re looking for a low-heel track shoe, barefoot feel, and wide toe area. It’s nearly impossible to find wide track shoes with or without spikes with any brand. No more squished toes rubbing together. They’re flexible, stable, and have just the right amount of grip for the track. I also like that they came free with an optional thicker insert, so you can choose a little more comfort or go more minimal. I would imagine the shoes work well with other orthotics for very high arch runners. It offers good stability with keeping the foot in the shoe with high speeds. I paid for these myself (not a free product review) and I’m honestly surprised there aren’t more reviews because they’re well made and the real deal for people who like minimalist grounding to feel the track. First, I never heard of this brand, and I have NEVER shopped for shoes online. Given the issues with my feet, it always felt like too much of a risk. However, I got tired of hunting for something that would work, not crowd my feet, and not require I see a foot and ankle surgeon. So, I took a leap of faith, and I am so glad that I have. 1. Great Fit. Use the guide! If you are like me, go up a half size! It is pretty accurate. They are incredibly comfortable. 2. Good Quality: Living in a city, I walk about 180 miles a month. That is, before we speak about the gym or any other activity. So, I need good quality shoes, and these seem to be holding up! 3. Color: Most of the time, I feel geriatric with the color choices of most brands; however, these are phenomenal! 4. Advice: I have unique foot issues and require a thicker insole. They come with an extra pair. So, I used both sets and it worked wonders! 5. Final Thoughts: You can always return them, and $45 shoes are worth the trial. I have paid hundreds for shoes that make claims these achieve. You will never know until you try them! ... show more

Excellent shoes -- I use them for T'ai Chi for the low heel and lack of cushioning. If you want soft, avoid these. If you want to feel the ground, they're great. I combine them with a black Super Feet insole for arch support. It's not the cushioning that supports you --- it's the arc your foot goes through as you shift weight into and out of it. Also, highly cushioned shoes make (IMNSHO) falls more likely. These seem durable, look fine (no weird toe things), and he size is right. ... show more

I really wanted to like these shoes. They look good, feel comfy with decent quality for the price, and of course the function of barefoot wide toe box. I have over 50 pairs of shoes in my rotation and none make my feet sweat on warm days like these, even with ventilated summer running socks. Not recommended for warm days :( ... show more
