I'll start by saying that I've always loved Asics shoes, but I needed a more budget friendly model, so I bought these. It's important to note that these do run about a half size to a full size small, so I opted for the size that's a half size larger than what I normally wear. Upon first putting these on and tying the laces that came with the shoes, I wasn't crazy about these because the laces are very, very stiff and they are very difficult to tie and once tied, they make for a very stiff fit. I decided to try to remedy that aspect, so I bought a generic pair of softer, round laces and changed out the laces today. What a world of difference the new laces make!! These shoes feel so much better and they're not so stiff around may ankle any longer. They're secure on my foot, but not uncomfortably stiff. I've got screws in my ankle from a broken ankle back in 2020 and the original laces made my ankle very sore, but once I replaced the laces, these shoes are amazing now. These shoes have enough support for my needs and a good amount of tread on the bottom. So, my recommendations are: 1)Go up at least a half size when ordering 2)Replace the laces immediately with a softer round athletic shoelace 3)Get exercising :) ... show more

I like these shoes. They are a bit stiff but comfy enough and do the job. I have normal sized feet with no feet issues, a bit on the skinny side. I had to open these as wide as they would go for a decent fit but that made the laces too short! So if you have chubby feet, these are not for you.
