Edit: i ended up purchasing a 9.5 wide that that was finally the correct size. It's perfect in the toe box and a tiny bit loose up top but that's fixed by looping through the heel lock. I'll probably replace with longer laces though. Photos are of 9.5 sneaker. So small, I used to buy Asics all the time and my normal shoe size is an 8 wide. Well that size pinches my toes so hard I was surprised at how narrow they were. I sized a full size up to a 9wide and they are still super snug, and the toe box is still very narrow. Still pinch a bit at my pinky toe and I hit the front of the shoe box with my big toe. I don't understand what the heck is going on with their sizing. Hopefully they break in a bit but I've never had this sizing issue with sneakers before so just be aware.

These are not true to size, so the reviews that said get a half size up were right. I ordered these to replace Gel Venture 7 Trail Running Shoes, which are currently not available in most sizes. I was very happy with those shoes. I wear size 9 and they were true to size and worked perfectly otherwise for hiking. I reviewed a bunch of other styles and Gel Venture 8 seemed identical to the shoes I had. I ordered my usual size, and they don't fit. This style is almost identical to Gel Venture 7, except for a very slight difference in the shape of the toe box - and that difference makes all the difference. My big toes hit the front of the toe box. No way I am going to wear these shoes. They also are very tight all around - and my feet are very thin, thinner than most, and so if they are too tight for me, they'll be way too tight on typical feet. I have not decided whether to try exchanging these for a pair half a size larger or just return them and wait until the other style becomes available again. If you decide to order these, go half a size up.

They are half size too small. I ordered my normal size and they are a tad too small. I wear 8.5 and these fit like an 8. I have now ordered a 9 and returned the 8.5. Aside from the small fit, they seem like a nice shoe. I haven't received the size 9 yet and will review those for fit and comfort when I get them. I just want to let people know, you might want to order your regular size and 1/2 size up and send back one pair. I wish I had. Now I have to wait. Update; I received the size 9 and its a perfect fit. Feels great, nice shoe and a reasonable price.

This is not my first pair of ASICS, or my first pair of this particular style, just a fun new color. I have arthritis in both feet and these are more comfortable and supportive than any of the orthopedic shoes I have tried. Plus they are much more reasonable. I have never had to break in a pair of ASICS, they are comfortable out of the box, every time. I wear wide and they provide plenty of room and still fit my heels properly. Finding wide shoes with well fitting heels is a challenge.

My shoes have good support and fit me well. Compared to other size 8W they run a bit shorter but still have enough room in the toe box. I love ortholite insoles. The shoe laces seem very cheap and probably won’t last as long as the shoes. The shoes I received seem previously worn. I may return and reorder in hopes of getting a new pair.

What an amazing shoe for so many reasons. First, it’s got that upturned toe which I need for a mild case of congenital drop-foot. And this is the first time I’ve tried a dropped heel. That works a charm. The soul is dreamy on the trail. They’re beautiful walking on flat surfaces, too. One of my feet is a whole size smaller and I don’t even notice it because of the way these lace up. I’ve got a really high arch on one side but it feels fine. I can’t believe what I’ve put up with in walking/hiking shoes since forever. These are the answer.

Hiked a bumpy rooty rocky snow pack slippy muddy wet trail to Emerald Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park today wearing these and the treads were hands down the best for all the conditions I encountered. Paired with some good smartwool socks, I put them up against any hiking shoe out there. Others were slip sliding all over the trail in their Merrells and I was Queen of the Mountain and comfortable in my Asics. I am going to order 2 more pair when I get home so when these wear out I will have a new pair ready to go. Get these. You won't regret it.

So after trying several different pairs of shoes, finally I found the one. The one that fits my extra wide but very small size 6 feet. I bought these for working out in and they are more comfortable than anything I have tried. Because of the shape of my feet, arches in shoes can cause problems among other things. With these, there is nothing in the shoe that feels uncomfortable to my foot. Thank God, finally. Something that fits and feels good on my feet. Thank you!
