Description

Experience the lasting comfort with GEL-NIMBUS 22 running shoe from ASICS. Packed with technologies to improve the performance of neutral runners, the newest iteration of this iconic running shoe delivers soft cushioning and a responsive stride, featuring a softer GEL cushioning unit in the heel for excellent shock absorption. Improved forefoot GEL technology further reduces the load on feet, while the FLYTEFOAM Propel technology in the midsole delivers more energetic ride. TRUSSTIC technology under the arch of the shoe, this thermoplastic piece provides stability, reduces weight, and helps extend the life of the shoe. The lightweight, engineered mesh upper allows your feet to experience improved breathability, offering a supportive and adaptable fit. Designed with high mileage runners in mind, the GEL-NIMBUS 22 shoe implements more foam in the midsole to reduce the severity of harsh impact. Additionally, a lightweight AHAR outsole reduces the overall level of wear, allowing you to spend more time focusing on your running workouts. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner, the GEL-NIMBUS 22 performance running shoe is designed to deliver soft cushioning and a more responsive stride. The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight. The foot lands on outside of heel, then rolls inward (pronates) excessively, transferring weight to inner edge instead of ball of the foot. Push Off The pressure is on smaller toes on outside of foot. There is even distribution from the front of the foot. Big toe and second toe do majority of the work. • Nice gift
Bought it for my wife, and she loves to wear them running.

  • Inconsistent Quality. Bad Customer Support
I buy between 5 and 10 pairs of running shoes/yr. This company, Asics, cannot seem to put out a consistent Gel Nimbus shoe from year to year. Read the reviews from trusted review sites and you will find that you have about a 50/50 chance of this year's model fitting anything close to last year's model. This goes for the amount of cushion, fit, and sizing. I bought a pair for my wife to replace her existing Gel Nimbus, same size, same shoe, and she did not get around to needing the shoes for a few months. When she finally out them on to go for a run she said they hurt her feet and did not feel anything close to the last identical pair. She tried these on on the carpet, no wear so I contacted amazon customer support to see if we could get an exchange for the Nimbus 23 which felt better and Asics contacted me back and said too bad, its past the 30 day return window. Even though they are unworn, and the seller still sells this same shoe on amazon for the same price. To me, this is just bad customer support. You make an inferior product that fits bad because ofyour own negligent quality control, and then stick it to the customer who was willing to simply apply the refund value to a new pair of shoes from Asics? That just doesnt seem nice. On the other hand. You have a great shoe company like Brooks that let's you run in the shoe for 90 days and still exchange or refund if you dont like it... Unfortunately Brooks dont work for us, but if you are new to running, you know shoes are expensive and if customer service is worth anything to you, I would not deal with Asics. They are too big to care about you they just take your money. ... show more

  • I would like to order another pair but they discontinued the color
Love the color the fit in the style wish they had included another set of shoe laces as they used to

  • Has the AHH! factor - nice cushioned fit for walking on hard pavement.
I've bought this shoe several times over the last few years because it is well cushioned & great for rapid walking on hard pavement. I generally switch to these shoes (from my Brooks Glycerins) when I am having problems with my plantar fasciitis. Because of the cushioning, I don't like to use the Asiics Gel Nimbus for 'fitness classes' where I need to do various movements like repeated "heel raises" (standing up on toes) or shifting weight from side to side, because it throws me off a little compared to my Brooks Glycerins which have less cushioning underfoot that allow me better underneath feel. But the Asics Gel Nimbus are great for lots of walking on hard surfaces. ... show more

  • Selling Out Fast!
I hadn’t ran in an official race for many years - so I haven’t had legit long distance running shoes since. I bought the size 7’s since I saw they were labelled as the last pair and that’s the size I’ve been wearing for the ASICS Quantum line. Once the Nimbus 22’s were delivered, I realized that I can wear these as regular shoes, but not running shoes since I need the extra space... such a shame, I can’t find 7.5’s anywhere in this same color. Besides this, I was surprised how cushioned these felt when I first tried them on. I have wide feet and these didn’t seem too narrow. Update: I tried the Nimbus 22’s in both size 7 and 7.5 and they are still too small... the difference in the 7.5 is that it is wider, but not so much taller.. I was certain the half size would be enough but it doesn’t seem so, my toes barely graze the top of the shoe in the 7.5’s. To reiterate, I wear the Quantum 360 v5’s in ***size 7*** with a thumb width’s worth at the top of the toe box. This model is taller and more narrow of a shoe than the Nimbus 22’s. It looks like I will have to try the Nimbus’s in a full size bigger than the Quantum’s, hopefully the size 8’s would be it for me. Online shopping can be a bit frustrating but thank goodness for the return policy. Pictured from left to right: Quantum 360 5 GT-2000 8 Nimbus 22 ... show more

  • Great exercising shoe
Although this exact pair of Asics Nimbus is not one of the most striking colors model, it easily will look nice with just about anything you wear. As a long time wearer of the Nimbus model, in about the past 5 years I purchase a 1/2 size up to accommodate the slighter smaller toe box than older models. ... show more

  • Great shoe for supination, but size up
I have been wearing the wrong shoes for my feet for years. Wearing these shoes for a long walk was great even after rolling my ankle with a different pair of shoes a few days ago. They provide the support and course correction to keep my knees and feet stable and they look good. I instinctively ordered a size up. I am a solid 10 but with Asics I’m now a 10.5. If I were planning on wearing these with thick socks I’d need an 11. The toe box is pretty wide but not overly so, so if you are looking for an all over wide shoe this isn’t it. I personally prefer this, but I have really weird feet. High arches, skinny in the middle, skinny ankle and Supination with spread out toes. I thought there wouldn’t be enough arch support but after a walk in the park I feel like they’ll be good for walks/jogs. Can’t speak to longevity but I’m not using them for everything. Walking on flat surfaces? yes. Hiking? No. ... show more
