The GEL-KUMO LYTE 2 shoe combines a soft and lightweight design with a contemporary look. This style is also functional for the runner who wants to wear it to the gym for light cross-training workouts. The second iteration of this series now features a softer heel construction and improved cushioning. A new stretchy tongue wing will softly wrap your foot and help feet remain centered as you fly through the miles. The updated heel construction is designed to create a more supportive fit with a softer feel while the synthetic mesh upper helps feet breathe better and dry quickly once they start sweating. Following a more sustainable design approach, this shoe also uses fewer resources to color the sockliner. The improved design of the GEL technology cushioning unit is reinforced with a bottom-loaded construction to help you experience better shock absorption in each stride. Designed for improved durability, thanks to the injection rubber outsole, this component is met with strategically placed flex grooves that make these shoes more flexible and comfortable when wearing throughout the day.

These are the most comfortable shoes I’ve worn in a while. They hug my 4A heel and keep my foot straight when fast walking with enough support on uneven terrain as well. They feel like you’re floating on pillows. Will be ordering another pair.

    • Re-writing my review after a couple months
I'm re-writing my review from a couple months ago because I have more accurate information after having worn these shoes a number of times. My first impression was that they look good but run a full size smaller. So, those observations still stand. I also believed them to be comfortable, but I was wrong. I do a light jog, 4 mile workout on both trails and road, about 4-5 x's a week. It's actually quite strange, because for the first two miles, the shoes feel okay. They don't have the bounce and impact-reducing comfort of my Hoka's, but that doesn't bother me so much. What does bother me, is at about the third mile, these shoes become so uncomfortable that it feels almost as if I changed shoes. They suddenly become extremely tight and painful around the toe box. I've tried inserts, which just made it worse for some weird reason. I have tried tying them tighter (and looser); wearing thicker socks (thinner too); changing my stride; even running on a treadmill just to see if it's the terrain. Nope, it's something about these shoes. Or my feet in these shoes. I'm not sure, but buy at your own risk. As for me, I wear them only to run errands now. And for that, they're fine. ... show more

I had foot surgery recently and was needing a quality shoe that didn’t break the bank. These are perfect, and they look great. They are super comfortable and lightweight. I had to size up only to accommodate the foot I had surgery on, so I would say they fit true to size. Would definitely order again. ... show more

I like these shoes. They have good arch support. The tongue part is kind of annoying. But I ordered many pairs because of the arch support.
