The GEL-EXCITE 9 shoe is a comfortable trainer for the casual fitness runner. Thanks to its engineered jacquard mesh upper, this material increases airflow while creating a softer feel against your foot. A combination of AMPLIFOAM cushioning and GEL technology are placed in the midsole. These features provide better impact absorption with a more forgiving landing at footstrike.

I actually really like these shoes for their price point. I bought them specifically because reviews seemed like they had adequate arch support. I have found they do not have enough arch support. They are pretty thick foam. If you're used to slim shoes like Converse, they are going to take some getting used to. I wear these with Smartwool socks from REI, and I walked 3-6 miles on a couple days. The first day I walked 3 miles in them, my feet hurt a lot afterwards. Maybe they do need some breaking in because the day I walked 6 miles, I had little to no discomfort. Just the normal weary feet after walking that much, and some pain because the arch support wasn't enough. No blisters, but that might be because of my socks (they are magic!!). The laces are a bit too short for me, and/or maybe I should have sized up since my socks are so thick.

I find ASICS to be my favorite fitting tennis shoes. To me they offer good support for my feet at any of the excersizes I’m choosing to do! Nike is not a great fit for me Adidas “meh” Sketchers are really cute, but absolutely no support at all. So my gel exite 7’s are pretty worn out and was in need of a replacement. Chose the newer version 9’s. Same great support, seems nicely made the look is pretty similar to my old pair. The decorative stripes on the side look like decals compared to my old ones, but I guess that’s just one less piece of plastic floating around. Sizing I feel they are true to size. Overall if you want your feet not to hurt at the end a day try any ASIC shoe for a change

ASICS Gel-Excite have been my go-to shoe for walking and running. They are light and don’t feel clunky and give my toes plenty of room to stretch. I’ve been amassing a collection of Gel-Excite versions 8 (which seem to be getting phased out), 9(which are very similar to 8 and also soon to be phased out) and the newest 10 version. I’ve been eyeing this bright yellow for awhile and finally decided to get it. I love it! Very bright and great visibility.

I just started up running and didn’t know what kind of running shoes to purchase. I bought these to try them out, and they worked out great. They’re super comfy and lightweight. I was using the regular day tennis shoes to run, and they were too heavy. I run on the treadmill and when I used the regular day tennis shoes, you can hear how hard my foot landed, but not with these and my feet feel great. I felt my running was a lot better using these shoes. I want to buy another pair just to walk in these because they’re super comfy. They are also true to size. Great support.

So I’m a big gal, (like over 300pounds) and these shoes have been great for me. They are holding up well. They are light so doing activity at the gym is easier because I don’t have to lift heavy shoes. They keep my feet supportive when I am really active and keep my feet pretty cool. Warning if you walk in water or really wet grass, your feet will get a little wet. Also with wider feet still really comfortable.

I have a hard time finding good running shoes that stick around by the time I need a replacement. I wear a 8.5w but got these in a 9w when I saw that the toe area look like it could be narrow in design. Best decision going up a half a size. Love these sneakers. Bought a second pair for when I need to replace my current pair. Super comfortable. I have bad ankles from my running in the military so I need good arch and ankle support to feel less pain while active. Love these shoes.

I love how these feel! Good support. I do use my own Orthodics in them, I have Plantar fasciitis. But even the insoles that came with are very nice, not cheap like other brands. I wore ASICS when I ran, I have returned to buy these for everyday walking and work. I absolutely love them! Beautiful color too!
