The GEL-EXCITE 9 shoe is a comfortable trainer for the casual fitness runner. Thanks to its engineered jacquard mesh upper, this material increases airflow while creating a softer feel against your foot. Granted I just put them on a couple of hours ago, but they are so comfortable so far. I have a young, energetic doggie and need to be able to take him for long walks. I'm usually an 8.5/9 in sneakers and 8/8.5 in boots and shoes. I got a 9 in the Asics. I probably could have got the 8.5 and they would have worked just as well, but I like to be able to wear thick socks if it's cold, or put in my own gel insert. I don't think I'll need the insert with these because they're like walking on clouds. I saw some reviewers who were less than impressed with the durability of these sneakers, so I'll update after wearing them for a while.

you can feel your feet sigh when you put them on. I needed a change from Skechers, and remembered that I had once gotten a pair of Asics to play volleyball in that were super comfortable. So I took a chance and ordered these. I doubled checked the size of the shoes I was wearing and ordered accordingly. These shoes are so awesome!!! I was having some trouble with pronation in my feet, and these have some really decent arch support that I could tell immediately. I am on my feet at least 8 hours a day, so I need a shoe that is just as comfortable in hour eight as they were in hour one. These are that shoe for me. With the others I was experiencing some pretty major foot pain, and a week in these that is no longer a problem!

First of all the laces, if you wanna do a everyday wear slip on slip out using 6/7 of the eyelets, you end up not having enough laces to tie the shoe, that's a let down, Asics you need to make your shoe laces LONGER, forget about tying it through the 7th eyelet, trust me you can, but you won't have enough laces to do the traditional bunny ears tying style.

I wear a women size 12.... And a 12 fits perfectly! They felt a little odd when I first put them on, But they are so comfortable to work out in! It feels like you're walking on a cloud once you get used to the thin mesh material on top! I love them!

I actually really like these shoes for their price point. I bought them specifically because reviews seemed like they had adequate arch support. I have found they do not have enough arch support. They are pretty thick foam. If you're used to slim shoes like Converse, they are going to take some getting used to. I wear these with Smartwool socks from REI, and I walked 3-6 miles on a couple days. The first day I walked 3 miles in them, my feet hurt a lot afterwards. Maybe they do need some breaking in because the day I walked 6 miles, I had little to no discomfort. Just the normal weary feet after walking that much, and some pain because the arch support wasn't enough. No blisters, but that might be because of my socks (they are magic!!). The laces are a bit too short for me, and/or maybe I should have sized up since my socks are so thick.

Great running shoe. I actually am a walker but always buy running shoes for the support. These ASICS shoe are comfortable. I used to buy the Contend versions but switched to Gel Excite for better comfort and support. Highly recommend this ASICS running shoe.

Great sneaker at currently a great price. Tow area is wide which is good for running and the overall sneaker support is fantastic. I’ve only worn ASICS for walking and jogging. I love them and the “excite” fits so well and comes in great colors. Thanks ASICS!
