The Asics Gel-Excite 8 is the latest version of this super comfortable running shoe. The running shoe impresses with its lightweight mesh material, which provides ideal ventilation and air circulation. The material clings to the foot and provides improved grip and comfort. The responsive and robust Amplifoam midsole ensures a comfortable fit. Combined with the gel cushioning, these properties offer great comfort and endurance readiness. A Guidance Line technology allows the foot a more natural and even running movement as well as more stability.

I have ASICS Gel-Excite versions 8, 9, & 10. 8 was the first time buying ASICS. I love they way they are light and breathable, not clunky and they look flattering on the foot. I especially like how 8 hugs my foot. Gel-Excite 9 is larger in the toe box area and I feel like sometimes my foot slips around and it doesn’t hug quite as much as 8, but I still like them. Gel-Excite 10 has a different heel shape to it and also is larger in the toe box and not quite as huggy as Gel-Excite 8, but I do like them also. Currently I rotate between the three versions for my daily walks/runs. Since Gel-Excite 8 is my favorite version, I’ve been buying several pairs since I know eventually they will be unavailable. This way I’ll have my favorite version for many years to come and maybe someday down the road, ASICS will go back to the Gel-Excite 8 design. ... show more

I don't understand why Asics is making *some* of their shoes 1/2 size smaller than the regular size - don't they have a measurement standard? It's really frustrating! Anyway, my normal size 7.5 would be too small, but size 8 fits great and they are very both supportive and comfortable. I love that they are mostly black but have a color pop of hot pink and neon yellow. So, other than the SIZING ISSUE, these are great! ... show more

Finally found another pair of sneakers i love i ran 2 hours after my busy toddler and my feet were not sore or uncomfortable! I made sure like others to order wide and go up a 1/2 a size 9 1/2 wide and they fit great! Not tight around the toes and comfortable to be in all day! Just got my new shoes, I love ASICS brand already but the everyday comfort ASICS are by far my favorite, the colors are beautiful and the coral under color is so bright and pretty. Im on my feet a lot so very happy with this buy. And shipping was fast!

I love the thickness of the sole and the support I feel wearing them. I broke my ankle in three places and finding comfortable supportive shoes has been difficult. I purchased a wide shoe and the toe area on one foot is a little squished, but nothing painful and nothing I am sure won't work itself out with a couple more wears. I recently purchased a different brand and the bottom wore out in less than six months to the point I couldn't walk without pain after wearing them. I feel like these soles will hold up much better. I would recommend these shoes for wide feet. My other Asics lasted a few years before I decided I needed new ones and I wear sneakers to work almost every day. ... show more
