These shoes are EXCELLENT for narrow feet / narrow heels. As a narrow heeled lady with plantar fasciitis I won't even need to tie in the extra loop with shoe string because it's so narrow, my heel won't come out as I walk. Of course had to put my own insert inside for heel comfort. These running shoes are perfect for me but may be a true struggle for wide feet!!! This is my second pair of ASICS gel contend 7. I work on my feet all day and these, like my last pair, give enough support that my knees aren’t aching at the end of the day. The first pair is still in very good shape, but after 2 years of wearing them I started to notice my knees were getting sore. Not anymore with a brand new pair! Size: 10.5 Color: French Blue/Barely Rose
This is a stylish sneaker with an adequate grip on the sole (not slip-proof or skid-proof but better than some of the cheaper plastic soles out there). I normally wear a size 10 but ordered a 10-1/2 after reading other reviews. They fit snug in both length and width and hopefully will loosen up a bit more. The heel needs more cushion and the blue appears more like black, but the price was right and overall I think these shoes are a good buy. Four stars. ... show more

These are definitely not true to size. After reading the reviews, I decided to buy a half size bigger (I’m normally a 5-5.5 and got a 6). While I was able to put them on, they gave no wiggle room and my toes were hitting the edge. I did walk around the apartment in them to test their comfortability and I liked how it felt. I’ve had a pair of Asics that I loved before so I specifically chose this brand for a reason. Will be exchanging for a 6.5 and hopefully those will fit perfectly. ... show more

I had hip replacement a few years ago (at age 55). I totally notice a difference in my hips and lower back when I bop around the house in my cushy slides vs my Asics Gels. This is my 4th pair and I LOVE them. If you're not super picky about the color, you can get "last years model" for a great price....well I do because I wear a 10 !! ... show more

I ordered these shoes because of foot issues (they were recommended). I ordered the size I always get (8 1/2 WIDE) and my toes hit the very tip of the shoes. I thought they'd stretch as I wore them more often, but no such luck. They squeeze my toes so much I can only wear them for a short period of time.
