The wider 2E fit is a game-changer—finally, a shoe that gives enough room without feeling sloppy. The cushioning is phenomenal; it absorbs impact effortlessly while still providing excellent stability for longer runs. The design in Steel Grey/Piedmont Grey looks sharp and modern, versatile enough for both running and casual wear. Breathability is excellent, and after several miles, my feet still feel fresh with no hotspots or discomfort. This shoe balances support, comfort, and style—this is it.     • Great shoe with great fit and just the right amount of cushioning
Great fitness shoe, not just for running. Fit is true to size, with a slightly wider toe box than Hoka and Adidas. Definitely more comfortable for me since I have a slightly wider foot. The amount of cushioning is also just right. I tried the New Balance 1080s and Hoka Cliftons and they had too much cushioning which made them less stable for runs and workouts. The Kayano is a stability running shoe so it makes sense. I purchased last year's model (Kayano 31) and saved $40 over this year's model. ... show more

4 month update Pros: very comfortable for 12-hour long shifts in the Emergency Room. Helped a lot with my heel pain, very supportive. 5 stars Cons: blew holes in the top fabric by my big toes by month 3. Still functioning, just not as pretty. Minus one star.

My 2nd pair of Asics running shoes. Comfortable and great looking. Just arrived today and I tried them on immediately. Perfect fit ( I wear 10.5). Very comfortable, especially the heel which has a snug collar that wraps around the back of your ankle. Comfortable footbed (will no more after a lengthy run or walk). This particular color scheme looks great too. Piedmont Grey with a pop of Fiery red. The shoe material is lightweight and might even be water resistant. Very pleased with these Asics. shoes. Update: while I love the look, quality and comfort of these shoes, I just noticed how badly the sole squeaks on certain flooring. I had been wearing them outside on pavement and didnt hear anything. Now I am wearing them to the gym and on wood or tile floors these shows are REALLY loud. It gets embarrassing walking from machine to machine in the gym and all the squeaks these make with each step. Perfect level of cushion for me. My ankles roll in a lot, and I found that when I wear the super-soft soled shoes, they have too much give and allow my ankles to roll. These offer perfect stability and comfort.

    • Excelled shoe after Achilles problems for years
Size: 9.5 Wide Color: Black/White
I've been suffering from Achilles problems for a few years now. Physical therapy would help a little bit but then exercise would trigger the pain again. I also had my patella act up at the same time from not being able to walk properly from the Achilles. After purchasing these shoes based on a recommendation, my patella and Achilles has been great. I walked through a Europe vacation putting on 20-30k steps a day and my feet mostly held up. My one issue is with the heal raised a bit from these shoes, my big toe started to get a painful ache at the underside on the bend. I ended up getting some metatarsal gel pads to help cushion whenever that happens. Overall I'm very happy with these shoes. So have held up pretty well, but there is a small part on the side of the sole that is starting to come apart. ... show more
