I never have to size up my shoes so I ordered my normal 12 shoes despite the warnings in the review to size up. They were insanely tight, it was like I was wearing an 11 and VERY narrow, I was barely able to get them on my foot and they wouldn't have broken in to a good fit. More of my problem was width than length, I typically wear normal width shoes but my feet run on the wider side of normal, so when I returned these I ordered the 12.5 wide (2E) and they fit incredible, snug but comfy out of the box and they should break in nicely. So I would either go up a full size on standard width or go up a half size + wide from standard width if your feet aren't naturally on the narrow side. Everything else about these shoes is awesome. Nice and flexible, very grippy sole, thin sole provides great articulation and feel of the mat, breathable so they don't get clammy under heavy use, and the komodo tongue + lace hiding pocket are nice touches. They look even better than the pictures, I got them in black and the gunmetal finish on the inside and back looks killer, not just some boring gray.

This is a great value compared to other wrestling shoes. It does run very small my 12 year old son is barely a nine and I ordered a 9 1/2 fits now but not for long. If we didn't need them this week I would return for 10 is very close fit but I would recommend.

Just got home and got to put them on. Incredibly comfortable! They are perfectly snug and agile. I am beyond pleased with them. I highly recommend them to anyone that's interested. For this gunmetal grey and black color, the tongue is only open on the outer side, which I am not normally a huge fan of but it really works perfect for these. The soles have excellent grip too. These shoes are perfect for all sorts of athletic sports. They also look very good too. 5 out of 5 stars for me.

I sized up by 1 like a lot of reviews said too for the Asics Snapdown 3 to a size 10.5 wide. I think Asics may have fixed the sizing issue for the Black/Gunmetal colorway. The Adidas HVC are a 9.5 and noticeably shorter and narrower. I returned the Asics 10.5 Wide for a pair in size 9.5 Wide. The ball of my foot is fairly wide. In the Adidas my pinky toe and outer metatarsal completely hung over the sole. It was really noticeable when walking on a hard surface, but barely noticeable on the mats since the sole is thin and the mats have a lot of give. Even if you have narrow feet I think most peoples pinky would still hang off of the side. No ones foot is as narrow and pointy as the soles on these. There was a very noticeable pressure point in my outer toes. I didn't keep these shoes so I'm not sure if they would stretch and break in to be comfortable. The fit of the Asics reminded me of my New Balance Minimus Trail V1 shoes. They're snug so your foot doesn't move around, but don't create any pressure points. They had a real glove like feel. The rubber on the Asics is stickier than the Adidas and wraps further up the side. The Adidas may be nice if you're knee sliding a lot. I also liked the shoelace pouch more than the Velcro. the Velcro on the Adidas is only about .5"x.5" so you may want to tape over it to reduce the risk of it coming undone during training.

These shoes fit my son perfectly for wrestling. He has bricks for feet (size 15 x wide)and it's usually such a headache finding him wrestling shoes, cleats, etc. and these were great! So, if you're worried about width, I would recommend these!

It would have been a great shoe were it not made for pancake feet; it is half an inch high! Seriously, this is the slimmest shoe I ever seen. Yes, it is wide box. And then it crushes your foot from above. Yes, there is some give in the middle, but the sides are still crushed. I wonder if people who design these shoes ever tried one on. For reference, I'm a 5.8 feet and 180 lb.
