I have run in Asics shoes for the last 40 years. The GT1000 is my favorite shoe and this version is great. The GT 1000 is an all-around shoe. Good for long distance training, short fast intervals and racing. They are considered an entry level shoe but has been great for this adult body man. These ASICS Men's GT-1000 13 are nice shoes. I’m not a runner but use to be, I’ve always been a fan of ASICS shoes, the fit is usually consistent, I know a men’s 12 will fit. I’ve worn this GT-1000 13 before so I knew it would be keeper, this color was new, but I like it. My only gripe is the shoes were clearly a returned pair someone had tried on; tied shoe laces, dog hair and scuffs on the side walls, nice. These should have been sold as used, not new. Very comfortable out of the box and every pair of asics I have ever owned have lasted a very long time. I’ve tried high end Brooks shoes and came back to ASICS. These shoes fit true to size. I have very bad feet with flat arches and these keep the pain away after a long day of walking. I have run many many miles in ASICS over the years. ASICS are one of the three brands that I can buy and know they will my fit extra wide foot out of the box. Very comfortable on their first wear. They have great toe room which other brand extra wide shoes don’t have.
