The GLIDERIDE 2 shoe is scientifically proven to save energy over the long run. By reducing energy through the phases of the gait cycle from footstrike to toe-off, this running shoe can help you cover greater distances. This season, we wanted to leave the energy-saving properties intact while creating a smoother ride with a better fitting upper. Designed for runners who want to feel fresher for longer durations, this shoe is also a functional choice for recovery runs. Improving the fit of the upper, this design features an engineered mesh that provides excellent airflow while adjusting to the natural shape of the foot's motion. Paired with a 3D print, this application also creates targeted support without extra stitching or added weight. Additionally, the shoe's upper is made with recycled materials to reduce waste and carbon emissions. GUIDESOLE technology consists of a curved sole that improves running efficiency by decreasing the load placed on the lower limbs. FLYTEFOAM technology cushioning is placed on the top layer of the midsole for a soft landing, while the bottom layer of FLYTEFOAM Propel technology generates a more responsive bounceback. Sandwiched between these two layers in the forefoot is a plate that helps keep the integrity of the midsole. Encouraging an easy forward roll, this motion propels the foot forward to create smoother and more efficient transitions between strides. Additionally, the AHARPLUS outsole improves durability and extends the shoe's lifespan.

6/18/2021 Male, 5'7" 170lbs, size 9. I run daily and train in the gym daily. This is just a great shoe for a dense, muscular built guy. Very high quality built shoe. Has a alot of stability built in to this neutral shoe. The upper is quality built. An impressive shoe. The midsole in your hands is stiff and solid but underfoot is perfect. Glideride is a perfect name for the shoe. It is a great Daily Trainer and does well on Easy Days to Tempo Days and Long Run Days. Has good bounce from the mid foot to fore foot push off. The fit is perfect for me and has a supportive arch. This shoe saves the legs compared to so many others. I recently logged a couple days in the Nike ZoomX Invincible (a highly rated shoe). The Asics Glideride 2 is far superior to the Nike. In a different class in my opinion. I sent the Nike back. For me it was an odd jarring, giggly and mushy ride. A clunky shoe. Anyway, for me Asics hit a home run with the Glideride 2. It is in my running shoe rotation with the Asics Novablast and Gel Nimbus Lite 2. Loved the shoes, the fit was great, a little bit larger than I was expecting,which is fine. The shoes are very light, have great cushioning, and the plate makes me run more. They look good too.

I wear these around my house because the rocker bottom and stiff toe help so my toe doesn't hurt at all. These are keepers! I definitely know what to get again when I want another pair!

    • Incredible support, misleading color
These shows have incredible support, very comfortable, seem durable and help push you to go a little faster which is great. the only complaints I have are that they run a touch smaller than most Asics shoes, and the color is a bit misleading. I ordered the "Cream & Putty" color, which are really quite white apart from the laces which are tan, and that leads to them always looking kind of dirty even when they are new out of the box. the fabric also picks up & shows dirt more easily than most. otherwise excellent shoes. ... show more

This is a very comfortable walking/running shoe. It has a rigid sole with a rocker bottom, so your foot doesn't flex as you move. Good if you have any issues like hallux rigidus and you aren't looking for a flexible sole. I usually wear a (US) 10, but I found that the 10.5 is actually a perfect fit with plenty of toe room and support. ... show more
