I wasn't sure how they would fit because the 1st pair of Asics I had always felt and looked a half size too big. A second pair I owned felt just a tad too small. This pair of gel venture 8s feel perfect! I have bad hips and need both of them replaced eventually so I'm always looking for a good comfortable shoe. I put these on and was wowed! I tied them up and walked around the house a little. It feels like the toe box widens as I take a step making these feel even more comfortable than they already are. They're light and just feel so good on my feet. Not too tight and not too loose. Just such a good fit. A guy I work with has the same pair and loves them! He wears them everyday so they're well worn in and he says they're still comfortable and he even bought a 2nd pair to have ready to go for when the current pair wear out. Which will be very soon 😆 Anyway that was enough for me to check them out and I'm so glad I did! He had no idea what model they were so I had to research a little, but it didn't take me long. I found a great price here on Amazon so I ordered a pair and couldn't wait for them to arrive! They were definitely worth the excitement! My brooks ghost 15s are like walking on pillows but I just love they way these gel ventures fit! I use insoles in my brooks and other shoes. Not with these though! They're good as they are and much cheaper! So dang glad I came back to asics. All because of a guys worn out pair at work. Gotta love it! I highly suggest checking them out! I even ordered a 2nd pair to have on deck because they just fit so good and feel so comfortable! Nvm the great price! I didn't want to miss out on the price but also didn't want to worry about them not being made anymore since the 9s are now out. Been seeing and hearing really good things about those now! I guess they deff improve on the 8s and actually are better. I'll check them out eventually. I'm happy enough with the 8s! Great job Asics! I tried the venture 9s and I don't like how bulky they are. The toe box has too much space between the top of my foot and the top of the toe box. They're comfortable, but the 8s seem to be the sweet spot for me. They've been great so far! They just fit my feet so good! I also like the toe box mesh material more on the 8s. I just love the 8s so far!

These are the best shoes ASICS has ever made. They are super comfortable, durable, and I love the color. Sadly, they do not make them anymore. Their new models are uncomfortable and cheap. I bought a pair of the gel-venture 10s and the soles came unglued after 2 weeks. I wish I could find these again!

I recently bought a pair of men’s size 14 shoes, and I’m seriously impressed with how comfortable they are! Finding shoes that fit well and provide support in larger sizes can be challenging, but these have been a total game-changer. The fit is spot-on. The shoes provide plenty of room in the toe box, so my feet don’t feel cramped, and the overall structure is just right—not too tight, but snug enough to feel secure. The arch support is excellent, and the cushioning feels soft yet firm enough to provide comfort for long periods of standing or walking. I’ve worn them for entire workdays and on weekend outings, and my feet never felt sore or tired. The materials feel high-quality, too, and there’s good breathability, which keeps my feet cool and dry throughout the day. They also have a stylish, versatile design that pairs well with sporty or casual outfits. Overall, these shoes are comfortable, well-made, and perfect for larger feet. I bought these as a general use, everyday shoe. They are comfy, but not quite as "walking on a cloud" comfy as my Asics Gel Nimbus 23s... But those shoes are 3X the price. So far I have walked 40-50 miles in them, and other than a bit of first-day soreness while breaking them in, they have been great. Since these are "trail running" shoes, they have a chunkier, grippier tread than typical road-running shoes or cross-trainers. This makes them a good choice for hiking and, hopefully, winter/snow walking/running. I've done two hikes in then so far, including Angel's Landing in Zion National Park, and they had great traction and gave me good confidence walking on rock, sand, gravel, etc. I've also done a few miles of road-running in them, and they worked fine. They are true to size. I normally wear 10.5, so that's what I bought. Conventional wisdom is to size up by a half size for dedicated running shoes, which I did for my Asics Gel Nimbus 23s, and that worked out great for those shoes. But for these Gel Venture 8s, my normal size fits great and my toes are not cramped at all under normal use. They did get a little jammed into the front on the long, steep, descent from the top of Angel's Landing, but I think any shoe or boot would have been similar. Even when I went road-running in them, they did not feel cramped in the toe. So, order your normal size.

I've used Asics for over 10 years and they continue to satisfy me with their footwear. I'm a happy customer of Asics and only wear Asics. I use them for every day, working out, and playing volleyball. They are comfortable, fit incredibly well, and are very light with great traction which is good for athletic movement. I've never had a negative concern of any of their products let alone this shoe/version which is my 4th one of these over the past 6 years. I'm very athletic so I put the shoes through a lot and they endure very well where as other shoe brands I've tried in the past did not work ideally for my style of play wearing them down quickly and failing to give the support I needed. Glad I found Asics because they are the perfect fit in both comfort, size, traction, weight, and price. Can't beat it.
