I purchased these sneakers to wear on vacation to Portugal and all of it's steep, unforgiving streets and trails. Put them on right before leaving and by the time I got to the airport to depart I thought I had made a mistake as they felt tight and too small. I wear moderate weight trail or running style shoes all day every day, whether I'm at work or biking or hiking or walking, it's all the same shoe for me. I've tried several different brands at this price point - Saucany, Addidas, New Balance... Most are comfortable enough and comparable. But the ASICS Venture 8 definitely lasts the longest. Particularly in the big toe area and the heel, my two problem areas with these light weight style shoes. The Venture's hold up so well I bought another pair for when they do eventually wear out! The gel feature is just marketing. They are as comfortable as the other brands.

Overall a comfortable shoe. Size fits true. Only complaint is there is a lot of padding towards the heal of the shoe that goes against the Achilles. The padding can create a loose feel if you slide your shoes on and off instead of tying them everytime. Easy fix, just tie your shoes when it starts to feel loose. The color of the shoe looks even better in person. Good show for the price.

I love these shoes. I have had many pair. I love the fit is ASICS. I walk 4 miles a day almost everyday. I don’t walk in the rain. These shoes fit as expected. Since my feet swell when I walk I buy a while size up .They wear well and are very light. They are very reasonably priced. I will keep buying them. You can’t go wrong with ASICS.

We’ve bought this shoe in various colors as my track and cross country boys have grown, so we’ve bought them maybe 6+ times. They are sturdy. They handle the high mileage my boys run in them without falling apart. We try to retire shoes b/w 500 and 900 miles, and these often are still holding together by then. They most often wear out first on the mesh above the big toe. No complaints. As long as quality remains good (and so far it has across all the colors/styles) we’ll continue to buy them!

I'm on my 4th pair now, the others haven't worn out, they're just great shoes and wanted extras. They are great for just casual walking around shoes, but I wouldn't buy them for running on anything but trails. They are far too heavy to be road runners. Of course, they ARE trail runners with the heavy tread, etc, so that makes perfect sense, right? The tread on them is great for hiking and I have ditched my hiking boots almost completely. Of course, you may get sneers from the REI hikers with their $200 boots, $100 hiking sticks, and $150 daypack, but you'll be super comfortable in these shoes when you and your kids, a Spiderman action figure, and a worn out teddy bear are cruising past them.

I wore New Balance for several years , then I decided to try on a pair of Asics . I am rocking the flat feet and this Gel Venture series has been my go to since the Gel Venture 4 . I weigh 175 and only wear these . I buy a new pair every 6 months and can never wait to step into the next new pair . this configuration of Asics is engineered to enhance stability specifically for the foot with no arch and does that perfectly . the price too ? under $ 50.00 ? for those with flat feet I highly recommend this shoe ! awesome shoe !

The size thirteen is a little snugg fitting. But the sneaker is great for the price. I just wish manufacturers carried larger sizes with more availability when I need a size fourteen I often have to squeeze into a thirteen cause they very rairly have the larger sizes available in the pair you want . But the sneakers are very nice
