OrthoLite Hybrid Max Lite sockliner designed to help provide advanced moisture management, breathability, and cushioning properties. Rearfoot GEL technology shock-attenuating material placed in the midsole of the shoe for cushioning and shock absorption. Molded rubber outsole.

I'm 6'2" and 225lbs and wear a 14b. This is the second Asics I've purchased, the last was the 9 version of this one in 2/25. The top of the heel is different, from a V to this single bump(?). This has big heel slippage so I will be returning and try to find another Asics. In all other regards, it's a perfectly good shoe and fits true to size and the toe box is good, especially for a narrow foot.

I have been buying ASICS shoes for many years, and this new model is extremely comfortable and very nice looking. I wear them for long hikes and they have a good arch support, and very comfortable foam insert. The tread is also thick and gives you a lot of traction. You can walk comfortably around town all day and be veryl comfortable. They are well made and should last for about 2 years. This shoe is a great value for the money...they could double the charge and it would match many competitors. I highly recommend this shoe.

Great first impression, but disappointing arch support

This is a confusing pair of shoes because there is a lot to like at first. They have the quality I usually expect from ASICS: they are lightweight, the sole has a great shape, and they feel incredibly comfortable when you first put them on. Unfortunately, that initial comfort disappears once you start walking, even on a short trail. The arch support is very poor, and my calves became sore within just a few minutes. I suspect the overly soft sole may be the cause. I have always been a fan of ASICS shoes, so it is disappointing that I have to return this pair.
