The GEL-VENTURE 10 shoe has been modified to provide better cushioning. Its functionality has been strategically designed for when you're shifting from the outdoors to city streets. The midsole has been modified with AMPLIFOAM cushioning and a higher stack height. When combined with the rearfoot GEL technology, these features help create a softer and more comfortable feel underfoot. Meanwhile, the outsole features an advanced traction pattern that's functional for the road and trail surfaces. Polyester upper and lining. Ethylene vinyl acetate insole. Lace-up closure in a round toe silhouette. Pull tab in front and back for easy entry. Synthetic rubber outsole.

I needed shoes to hike up Angels Landing in Zion. I decided on purchasing these instead of boots to allow a little more range of motion. I wasn't expecting much due to the price. Boy was I wrong. These shoes are durable. It can definitely take a beating. The material is sturdy, but lightweight. It seems to be water retardent, but not fully waterproof. The shoes also look pretty good. But most importantly, they were comfortable to wear. I was able to complete the hike with no issues. The shoes were grippy (a must when hiking on smooth sandstone) and did not impeded in walking. A very comfortable shoe, but after just one hike the sole started coming apart from the shoe at the side. Unfortunately it doesn't look like I can return them now because I waited a few months to wear them after purchase. I like their older Frequent Trail model better. It's lighter and more breathable.
