The GEL-VENTURE 10 shoe has been modified to provide better cushioning. Its functionality has been strategically designed for when you're shifting from the outdoors to city streets. The midsole has been modified with AMPLIFOAM cushioning and a higher stack height. When combined with the rearfoot GEL technology, these features help create a softer and more comfortable feel underfoot. Meanwhile, the outsole features an advanced traction pattern that's functional for the road and trail surfaces. Polyester upper and lining. Ethylene vinyl acetate insole. Lace-up closure in a round toe silhouette. Pull tab in front and back for easy entry. Synthetic rubber outsole.

I ordered these running shoes.....not for running but for everyday wear and working out at Planet Fitness. These shoes are incredibly comfortable, great looking and affords great support while weight lifting. I'm very glad I ordered them when I did, because they (Amazon) quickly depleted the stock and I have not seen them available since. On Ebay they are listed as $139, as opposed to $65 when I purchased them on Amazon. Asics running shoes in general are incredible running shoes to begin with and the prices offered by Amazon, they are even better. The fit is exceptional, great toe box, well made, and the support in the heel and midfoot provides a long lift span. My last two shoes were ASICS Gel-Venture 6 and Gel-Venture 8, and I was satisfied with the style, comfort, and durability of those shoes. After getting my Gel-Venture 10 shoes recently, I'm just as satisfied. The quality is as expected, which I think is absolutely great for the price. One small negative, in my opinion, is the feathered-arrows accents on the sides of the soles aren't quite my favorite design, but it's not enough to change my rating. I think a lot of shoe brands are lazy with their designs, and it shows. I don't care if some store's shoes are cheaper than this when they also look terrible and can't stand up to daily use. I usually wear 15's; I can occasionally fit into some other manufacturer's 14's. Anyway, these fit as 15 should and they are quite rugged. I've worn them a lot and haven't noticed any tread coming off the sole. I will advise anyone that if they are a person of size like me (300 lbs+) the insoles have zero support not cushion. Throw them out, go get some Dr. Scholl's from the drug store, and you've got some 5-star shoes. ... show more

This might be the shoe for someone else but not for me. I run in asics shoes 4 days per week and expect a certain type of shoe. These shoes are rated as trail shoes but I don't think I could run in them. Out of the box they are very rigid and I was unable to flex the forefoot. When I run I land on the heel and push off the toes. This style requires bending of the shoe at the metatarsal area (ball of the foot). These are too stiff for me. Also these are trail shoes but the soles have holes in the outsole of the front of the shoe. Perfect for gathering stones and thorns into the midsole. Trail shoes need tough soles to combat the stones and twigs on the trail. Putting holes in the sole defeats the purpose. I will stay with my Asics GT-2000. ... show more
