Description

The GEL-VENTURE 10 shoe has been modified to provide better cushioning. Its functionality has been strategically designed for when you're shifting from the outdoors to city streets. The midsole has been modified with AMPLIFOAM cushioning and a higher stack height. When combined with the rearfoot GEL technology, these features help create a softer and more comfortable feel underfoot. Meanwhile, the outsole features an advanced traction pattern that's functional for the road and trail surfaces. Polyester upper and lining. Ethylene vinyl acetate insole. Lace-up closure in a round toe silhouette. Pull tab in front and back for easy entry. Synthetic rubber outsole.

These shoes are durable. It can definitely take a beating. The material is sturdy, but lightweight. It seems to be water retardent, but not fully waterproof. The shoes also look pretty good. But most importantly, they were comfortable to wear. I was able to complete the hike with no issues. The shoes were grippy (a must when hiking on smooth sandstone) and did not impeded in walking.     • The new 10 version seems to be an improvement over previous versions

I tried this newest Asics men Gel-Venture 10 trail running shoes. I also have the very old version of the Gel Sonoma (version 6) and the Gel-Venture 9 trail shoes to compare it to. It's possible I could be wrong and this could just be all my imagination, but the latest version (Gel-Venture 10) seems more comfortable, springy, and cushioned than the other two. (This despite the fact the 9 version came in better looking styles than the 10, in my opinion). The 9 seems to have a bottom part of the shoe that is a little too rigid and "clackety" on hard paved surfaces (though is fine if you're going to be hiking in the dirt). The 6 just doesn't seem to have any bounce; it's more than fine for just casual walking, but for jogging it seems kind of flat and dampened. The 6 and 9 are fine but not what I would consider really good. It seems like they have definitely made an improvement with the 10 version. At least for me, I seem to notice they are more comfortable. Great and getting close to a "perfect" shoe. ... show more

This is my 6th or 7th pair of this model. I've been through several generations and absolutely love this shoe. I used one pair for almost a year for both exercise and every day wear and they lasted above and beyond expectations. Why the low review? Because they changed the width of the last they use. I bought my usual size of XX but on a 20km run they shredded my feet. I only notice the small difference in width size on very long runs. I contacted Asics and they said contact the seller, but more than a month had passed. All in all: great sneakers but be very careful on ordering your size ... show more

    • Finally—Comfort I Can Afford! These Shoes Helped My Plantar Fasciitis More Than I Expected

I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to share my experience with the ASICS Gel-Venture 10 running shoes. I've been dealing with plantar fasciitis for over a year now, and finding shoes that are both affordable and comfortable has been a challenge—until now. Right out of the box, these shoes felt great. The rearfoot GEL cushioning and supportive sole really stood out. I could feel the difference in my heel and arch support almost immediately. After just a few days of wearing them for walks and errands, the morning heel pain that used to slow me down was noticeably reduced. I’m not saying it’s a cure, but for the price, it’s the best relief I’ve gotten from any shoe so far. The fit is solid but breathable, and they’ve held up well with daily use. I wear them both on trails and around town, and they’ve given me reliable traction and comfort every time. For under $70, it honestly feels like I got a much more expensive shoe.
