I was in desperate need of a new pair of walking shoes, and these absolutely exceeded my expectations! I’ve never worn a pair that’s this comfortable-right out of the box. Compared to my usual Nike Pegasus or Brooks Ghosts, these feel like they actually propel you forward with every step.     • As good or better than the 26's

It's always unfair to review the new model as your retiring the previous model that is mileage timed out. That said the 27's fit great, very similar to the 26's and thankfully still don't have the toe box issue from the ~15's - 19's. I had some minor foot pain that went away instantly with the 27's - likely due to my 26's being timed out. If you like the 26's I think it is a neutral to plus upgrade. You can still get the 26's for about $50 off so that is still a great option but I love to try the new models as they come out. ... show more

I have purchased and returned 4 pairs of running shoes in the last couple of months. I wish I could return these shoes. When I saw these on sale I thought it was a sign. The shoes started out great but mile 10 they were painful to wear. these shoes hurt on the outside of my foot which is such an odd place for pain. Great shoe for heavy runners, great form fitting shoe. I’m kinda flat footed and it didn’t cause any pain. Feels like running on clouds. The energy return is good but not the best.     • Very soft, but not worth the price for walking

These are my husband's and here's his review: Needed replacement for my 3 year old Hoka's. I don't run, but I do walk 2 miles 5 mornings a week. I'm 5'9" / 200 lbs, have bad knees and I supinate, so finding comfortable shoes can sometimes be a challenge. I normally wear an 8 1/2 but they were too tight in this model. I ordered the 9, but now that I've walked a few miles in them, the heal seems to move up and down on my foot. I can't tell if they are a little too big or if they are so soft that my heels sink in farther than usual making the shoe feel too big. I want to like these because they are very cushioned, but not as much as the Novablast. The Gel-Nimbus seemed to provide a little more support than the Novablast, but now the fit isn't right. If I could do it over again, I would by the New Balance 1080v14's. They were my favorite (and about $40 cheaper!) until I tried on the Asics. ... show more

Absolutely love them. Hands-down! Best shoe I’ve ever worn. If you like a soft cushy shoe, this is it. They’re nice neutral shoes. Now if you don’t like super cushy, then maybe the cumulus is the better shoe for you.
