    • I really like this shoe. I've tried many others. So far, this one is my favorite.

It's early days, but I'm very happy so far. This is my 2nd pair of ASICS running shoes, although I walk on pavement... every day. So far, so good. The fit is tight, but I like that. The sole and cushion are much better than others I've tried. I usually wear through the outer sole in 8-10 months, so I'm always trying something different. Hoka was the worst for wear and tear pavement walking. I tried Sketchers and like everything except for the outers sole endurance. My first ASICS outlasted the other brands, so I'm hoping this one will as well. It already feels like an upgrade from everything else I've tried so far. First impressions, but lots of experience. Sole thickness seems to be a plus and I bought it on a Memorial Day sale, so I think I got good value for money. I have a long history of ingrown toenails, and the Gel-nimbus 27 (with extra room laterally for my big toe) is the best shoe I have found for me. It holds my ankle in place and the extra room for my big toe makes it great for long walks. I wear an 11 1/2 regular for the Gel-Nimbus 27, but the Gel-nimbus 28 has less room for my big toe, and I would have to wear a 11 1/2 wide for that model (less ankle support in wide for Gel-Nimbus 28). The Gel-Nimbus 28 is less bulky. The Gel-Nimbus is generally a great shoe for me because I underpronate (supinate), and this shoe is designed for people like me--but do not assume that all iterations are the same. I have worn gel-nimbus shoes over the years and there have been similar inconsistencies in sizing with older models. ... show more

Nice feeling when walking with the shoes, unlike my crocs, haven't had issues with plantar pain after I started using them, the support for the arc is very nice, not too soft not too hard for me, stability also does not feel compromised even though they you a couple of inches of height, so far very happy with them. To start, shoes are super subjective and vary individual by individual, so please keep that in mind while reading my review. I love ASICS and almost exclusively have ASICS in my running shoe rotation. These shoes felt amazing under my feet. They were plush and soft and very comfortable. I also love that this model offers attractive colors in wide and extra wide widths. Much like all other ASICS shoes, they feel very well made and durable. I gave them a 4 star rating just because they seem to run large and seem to have a small degree of slippage around my heel that I couldn’t fix. I own many pairs of running shoes; these have to be the best that I have ever had! I have a wide foot with some swelling, and as a result, I sometimes feel pain. They fit perfectly with room to spare for wearing orthotics if needed. This model was recommended by my podiatrist, and I am so grateful for the recommendation. I walk my dogs and sometimes get quite a workout during the day. These sneakers have the right amount of cushion and stability to keep your feet comfortable all day long. This would be my 3rd pair of Gel-Nimbus's. I've had the 25, 26 and now the 27. For my style of running these fit the bill. My feet pronate inside so I have to use orthopedic inserts. The padding on this series of runners actually make it all work together for a good fit, comfort on my knees as well as all my bodily joints involved. Love this series of Asics. The 28's are available; I'm going to wear these out and wait for the 28's to go on sale (next year) Hope they are as good as the rest of the series. ... show more

Very comfortable shoes right out of the box. I’m not a runner but I walk a lot! They are very cushy and are worth every penny. THEY RUN NARROW. Place your order for one size wider than you normally wear. You will not be disappointed with these issues
