It’s hard to find running shoes that fit and perform well. Over many years I’ve changed from Nike to Adidas and then ASICS. Some of the other companies discontinue models and/or change them so much that they didn’t fit me correctly. I’ve been using ASICS Gel-Kayano since they came out in 1993 and with the exception of the Gel-Kayano 25 or 26 have always fit perfectly, wear well and give the right amount of cushion and foot control and stability you need to support running or walking. They’ve been comfortable except for the one year that they were too tight (that year I found some older models to get me through till new ones came out). My feet don’t have much arch and these shoes work for me. They’re lightweight and breathable which helps during longer runs or walks. My color preference was the black and silver I ordered although in prior years I often went with wilder colors. ... show more

Super comfortable, haven't worn down much if kept up with cleaning. Fit perfect, size 10 usually and got wide feet. Now on my 6 pair of Asics Gel Kayano shoes. Each year they get better and better and more comfortable. Several years ago I ran across the Asics Kayano shoes and they fit perfect to my feet. I do not notice them on my feet. Whether shopping /walking somewhere/or at the gym they are on my feet. When I find something I like I stick with it and these shoes are one of those things in my life. My first pair was probably 12 years ago. Each year I take the oldest pair for my work outside shoes and at the end of the summer that go into trash and the cycle starts over. I watch and wait for the new model to come out then go shoe shopping for the last year's model to save some money. Old and retired now so saving money is necessary. I sometimes have to settle for a second choice in color but not comfort. I highly recommend this shoe especially if you overpronate as they are designed to help in this matter. I do not run nor can I with a fake knee now. So I don't know how they do for runners. ... show more

Don't get me wrong, this shoe is excellent. I've been through several ASICS pairs, mostly Kayanos and GT-3000s, and this one is the best feeling yet. The straps on the heel and tongue make it easy to slip on. But... the noise! I have tile floors where I work, and these shoes squeak like they're constantly wet. No matter what the condition, everyone can hear me coming from a mile away! ... show more

I ordered these shoes because my feet have flat arches. I started running frequently again recently and was using a newer pair of Sketchers Max Run Slip Ins, which worked better than a standard shoe, but proved to be a terrible choice after multiple runs. My ankles would over probate and roll in badly while running, causing me to have very sore ankles and stabilizers in my lower legs, as well as hip pain. I was beginning to get worried I was going to injure myself, so I did research and found these. These shoes made a drastic difference in my ankles and hips. It has helped my running gait, keeping my ankles from rolling in so badly and helps guide my feet for a smothering strike and rebound. With the Sketchers it felt like my feet, particularly my right foot, was slamming into the ground or treadmill unless I specifically tried to strike my forefoot. These shoes feel so much more smooth and provide plenty of support on my inner foot to keepeverything in alignment. I haven't had the shoes long enough to comment on the lifespan and longevity of them, but so far after several runs and miles they shoe no signs of bad wear or issues. If you have fallen arches or flat feet, these are definitely worth looking into. ... show more

ASICS gel kayano extra wide. Absolutely love these shoes. Great support with extra cushion. Just a joy to wear. Plenty of room in the toe box. I tried the Hoka Clifton 11 and they were just too soft. Arrived on time at $125 on sale. I usually go for GT-2000, which are awesome fit and cushion. Gel kayano is a couple steps up in quality, support and cushion. ... show more

Worst sneaker I ever owned. Soles are nice and stiff but the side are super flimsy and do not support my foot at all. My feet are always sliding over the edge. Very weak. I have had for a couple of months are can no longer wear them. Very disappointing. Update: This sneaker is not good for uneven surfaces and offers very little support when performing physical tasks on uneven surfaces. The uppers allow your feet to slude off the sole. But I must give credit where credit is due. The soles are very resistant to bending anf offer excellent support. If you are walking on mostly even surfaces and not moving heavy objects, the sneakers are excellent. ... show more
