First off - yes, they run AT LEAST a half-size small. Go up, especially if you have duck paddles (very wide) for feet as I do. You’re going to need the room. By comparison, I have been in the New Balance 1080 series for a million years, and their newest 10 4E (as of 2022) fits about the same as these Asics in the 11 4E. The NB shoes are great - and probably the most “4E” of 4E shoes - but over the years their premier 1080 line has, in my opinion, sacrificed substantive lateral foot and heel lineup support on the altar of waif-like lightness. I’m at the point as an active exercise walker where I need proper support just as much as I need cushion. Also - by the by, I have been using the Superfeet Copper replacement inserts found here on Amazon. They’re in the vein of “over-the-counter custom orthotics” and not the cheapest thing you’ll ever buy, but if you need them for support, you need them for support. Let the shoes themselves provide the cushioning. These Asics shoes out of the box are supportive and the cushioning is good. The Superfeet insoles slid right in as replacements for the factory set for that dash extra of reliable support and foot lineup. One more note ~ the Hoka Bondi 8s are comparable to the New Balance 1080s and these Asics 29s, but if you have wide feet, forget it. Their “extra wide” is a 2E *at best*. The shoe soles themselves are wide as moon boots, and probably give great support, but the uppers are strictly for narrow feet. Epic fail on Hoka’s end. Don’t believe me - read the reviews. They were slammed so much on their site that *cough* I don’t see reviews any more. Maybe I missed them on a recent visit? Fit-wise for my fellow ducks I’d say the 4E NB 1080s are best, flowed closely by these Asics 29s. Hokas … damn they were cushiony … are not for wide feet, period, unless maybe you get 2 sizes too big. Even then … 🤔 But overall I’m going these Asics 29s for support AND cushioning AND width. 🏆 As of this writing the 30s are indeed available, but at about $60 more per pair. The new-to-me 29s got great reviews, so I thought I’d start with them.

Returned only because color is much lighter than photo, and I decided I am getting too old to wear the side graphics. Excellent heel counter that is as good or better than Brooks Ghost 14. No heel slippage and I have narrow ankles. Very comfortable. Very tight and difficult to put on. Laces way too long. True to size. Very stable. Good arch support. Do not like white soles from any brand. Shipped in plastic sack, so minor damage to factory box. Returned in a cardboard box.

I am a big fan of the ASICS keyano series or men’s running shoes. My only disappointment is the uppers can tear somewhat easily and the soles wear out reasonably fast for me. I walk at a minimum of 2-3miles a day and the forefoot sole tends to wear down pretty fast. All said these are my go to running/walking shoes for my 6’2” 200lbs frame. I run mostly neutral but like the extra cushion and support of a stability shoe. I buy 2-3 pair of these a year and highly recommend them.

I’ve always loved ASICS. And this particular pair (navy and tomato red) fit my feet perfectly, comfortable and true to size. But I’ve noticed with big brand shoes lately, the color and/or country it was made in makes all the difference. So I had returned two previous pairs of these in a different color due to size inconsistency. I’m giving them 4 stars for that reason. My advice . . . If you order a specific color and they don’t fit correctly, don’t be afraid to try another color. Try and try again I say! 😁

I normally wear GT-2000s, and went for the Kayano 29. Both are stability shoes and have no issues with the Kayano. Fit is great, have the stability to support my mild probation. Support is great and comfortable. The ride in these shoes are everything I expected. Would have no issue wearing for longer runs. Now I have 2 go to ASICS models, GT-2000s and now Kayano. I like the fit of the 4E shoe as the toe box is wide enough for my foot. Also work well with my custom orthotics. Only concern is that durability. Had them less than a month and already some of the corners of the sole are coming loose.

Loving the Kayano 29… Have worn Kayanos for so many years with just a few breaks to try some other shoes. But I always return to the Kayanos. Typically buy the previous year model at half price on Amazon. Some years they’re better than others so my strategy is to buy 1 pair. Then, if I love that model year I go online and buy a couple more. Just ordered more.

I love the Asics brand and find their shoes to be really comfortable in general. I purchased this pair for my work shoes as I'm on my feet for 10-12 hours a day - often in a hurry to get to the other end of the building. These shoes felt wonderfully comfy the first time I put them on and only are getting better with each shift. I get men's shoes because the arch support fits my foot better than the womens sizing. Love 'em - what's more to say?

I bought these and love the color and cushiness but the control in the footbed is not like it used to be. An ASICS rep told me they widened it based on feedback but in the current version 30, the went back to a snugger fit. Maybe I’ll try those when they go on sale but these were too wide for stability IMHO. This version 29 runs wide. I bought the GT 2000 version 11 instead.
