I've had 4 or 5 indoor treadmill runs with these shoes now and they're really great. As soon as I tried them on out of the box, the comfort of the mesh material was immediately recognizable and a few paces around the apartment and then outside illustrated the shock absorption and elasticity of the sole and tread materials. I didn't feel that there was a "breaking in" period for these running shoes and I'm especially impressed with the responsiveness of the shoe at each level of running movement and stride adjustment from walking to sprinting. Love ASICS Kayano. Been buying since the Kayano 23. Alway fit true to size. Only one I ever had a problem with were the 26's. Had two pairs, hurt my feet to walk in. The 28's very comfortable.

This is probably my sixth pair of Asics Gel Kayano because they fit well, provide ample comfort and support on my 8-mile-a-day fitness walking over all kinds of ground surfaces, and far outlast cheaper shoes. Highly recommend!

Although I like the fit of these shoes, the shoes are poorly made and stitching is not well done. I've worn the shoes three times and the stitching is coming apart.

I've run in Kayano's for years, and always appreciate the incremental improvements made with each new model. The mesh cuff is a game changer - it keeps out the small pea gravel, which is certainly a bonus on long trail run!
