Was buying it for the everyday wear and took my exact size - 11.5. Shoes are made in Vietnam, so they fit perfectly (the shoes, which are made in China are always smaller than Vietnamese and Indonesian ones). My advise, if you're looking for Gel-Excite 8 for running, go with the half size up, but find out about the country of origin first. Overall, great looking shoes for the reasonable price and very comfortable.

When I first got these shoes I was blown away at how supportive and comfortable they were compared to my old (admittedly cheap and very work out shoes). I had tried on the Gel-excite 9’s in the store and got these to save a few bucks, which ended up being just fine and with it. They are very much worth the price and work wonderfully as every day active shoes. I like these shoes a lot except for two complaints. Water-resistance and surface durability. Firstly, the shoes let all water in instantly. If it’s even raining a light drizzle my socks get soaked immediately. Secondly, I have a slight anomaly in my step that causes me to occasionally lightly brush the inside heel of my right foot against the inside toe of my left foot. After only a very short time of this, the mesh on the left toe was completely worn through. This is also how it last shoes wore out, but it took a lot longer. Additionally, the coloring on the sole seems to wear out over time. After a long time of normal use, this paint seems like it’ll flake off entirely.

I run about 24 miles a week, so not heavy running. I usually wear Saucony on sale, but I couldn't find any. These Asics seems to be about the same comfort, fit and support. Of course, I always change out the inserts. Running shoes only last me a year tops, so I buy them around $40.

I buy a pair of these every year. When I get new ones the pair before them become my outside work shoes,and the oldest pair get thrown away. The new ones are the ones I wear to doctors appointments and such. I love them because they are light and comfortable. They go on easy, which is good due to the fact that I am disabled. I had a severe back injury nearly 6 years ago. This left me with severe nerve damage in my legs and feet. These shoes also do good in wet conditions. I fall enough already, these keep me from slipping when it's raining. They also come in wide sizes, which is a plus.

These are SUPER comfy. I have very wide big feet. These are awesome. I wear them to the gym and for walking to work. Fantastic shoes!
