i dont know if it is just my feet that run hot, or the shoes just dont let out the heat well. the sides are plastic, except in the toe area. the fit is great, the heat factor, is the problem.

I've ben an Asics guy for a long time now so these seem like a natural choice to replace my old pickleball shoes. Those were ASICS Gel Rockets and I liked them quite a bit other than the soles wearing down quickly. I ordered my usual size but I did not take into consideration that the Delicate 7 are all leather without any mesh. These are a bit tight out of the box and I'm hoping after playing in them a few times they will loosen up some. The other option is to get an extra wide because going up a half size makes the toe box too long.. Also these will be less breathable than their predecessors. I also hope the soles are of a better composition so I do not have to replace them so quickly.

Get these outdoor Gel Dedicate 7 shoes if you have weak ankles; I have not turned my ankles in these shoes. They fit snug around the heel and outer part at back of heel is very hard plastic/rubber that helps prevent the ankle from turning on it's side. Other shoes like my indoor Asics Gel Rocket are too soft without tight/firm heel support around the heel/back half of shoe & I have turned my ankles many times while wearing them. At first I thought these were too large but it was just the harder material around the toe area holding the longer form (really not as soft comfortable around the toes but that softness means less support also). I ordered another pair already of outdoor Gel Dedicate 7 due to the great heel/ankle stability. Bad: Not as soft comfortable as many due to the thick hard plastic/man made materials. Good: Only shoes I've worn without turning my ankles after playing pickleball for about 3 weeks 6 days a week & about 2 hours a day. Final Thought: Other manufacturers should consider a tighter firmer heel area to help prevent turning a weak ankle as there are so many people who have weak ankles.

The price is a reflection of the quality. I only wear Asics for tennis, but always the expensive models. Have to say, these look and feel cheap - get what you pay for.

As an avid tennis player, I'm very particular about having the right athletic shoe that can keep up with the demands of the sport. After testing out the Asics Gel Dedicate 7, I'm thoroughly impressed with its performance and comfort. Here are some pros and cons: Pros: - Excellent lateral support for quick side-to-side motions - Snug heel fit prevents sliding around - Hard plastic heel counter stabilized my ankle - Ample cushioning absorbs impact - Attractive style without flashy colors Cons: - Runs slightly narrow, not ideal for wide feet - Toe box is stiffer than some other athletic shoes Overall, the Asics Dedicate 7 is an excellent shoe choice for regular tennis players like me. The balance of cushioning, support, and stability is hard to beat. I'd recommend it to any fellow tennis player looking for a durable, high-performing court shoe. Hope this review helped!

I appreciate the comfort and look. I play sports so I'm running on concrete and do a lot of lateral movements so its perfect for what I do. I know everyone's experience is different but mines with these have been my go to for sports and recreation.
