I’ve always likes Asics and these didn’t disappoint me. For a relatively inexpensive pair of running shoes (I wear them for walking) they’re comfortable and hood up well.

The Gel Contend 7 are good running shoes for neutral pronators. If you over or under pronate, these will probably not be the best. Look for stability or motion control shoes instead. These run well, are comfortable, and provide adequate grip on the tarmac. I normally wear size 11. I ordered size 11 and they are just a tad smaller, but still worked out for me. So keep that in mind, if you are between sizes. I normally run in the Gel-Nimbus or Cumulus, but decided to give these a try. They are not as cushioning as the Nimbus or Cumulus, but they have the same support. I have no regrets. They are good shoes, good quality made, and good price. I've since bought a second pair. I run 4-5 miles once a week for cardio training, and sprint training once a week for speed work. These have held up nicely.

I've never been a daily tennis shoe wearer but I might be with these. These are very comfortable & prevent my 56 yr old feet from feeling tired and aching at the end of a full day of walking. I usually wear a Size 11 or 11.5D. I ordered an 11.5D and very happy I did, it fits perfect. I would say these run a bit on the narrow side so if you've got a wider or thicker foot, I'd suggest ordering a size wider and a 1/2 size larger than your typical...smaller size. Buy them. They look nice and feel better.

I’ve used ASICS running shoes for years. I’ve been generally satisfied with the shoes. I’m a casual runner logging in 30 to 40 miles a month on an indoor treadmill. I have a narrow foot and wear size 11. This model which is a medium width shoe is a little snug on my foot but has loosened up after 15 miles of use. I like the sole construction verses a terrain model for use on the treadmill. I think this show would not work well for me if had a wide foot. In summary, the gel sole is good, weight is light, they are comfortable and the prices was ok.
