The AGGRESSOR 5 wrestling shoe is one of the most comfortable styles in the ASICS wrestling range.​ An ecsaine material on the upper is designed to wrap your foot with a softer feel.​ The shoe also features supportive reinforcements on the sides to maintain good stability. These panels are also more flexible than the previous version to move more naturally with your foot. Lastly, the outsole provides targeted traction to help increase your grip on the mat.​

    • Best shoes for wrestling, but tread fails
The aggressor is the best shoe. Unfortunately the tread pieces tear off. The grip is insane though. I wish they had more color options as well.

Prior to purchasing these shoes, my son wore Rudis. Unfortunately, he prefers Rudis over these as he says Rudis is more comfortable for him and easier to move in. My son is 14 and has been wrestling since he was 7. He finds himself tripping as the grip is very strong and the shoe is very stiff, even after attempting to break them in. He is a fast, petite 5'0" 100 lb'er. I'm sure this shoe works well for others, but unfortunately not for my son. ... show more

Bought these for my son who wrestles at 106 lbs. I was optimistic about this purchase being that there were so many reviews regarding the material used for the soles falling apart. I also wasn’t feeling the solid sole and thought it might not be flexible enough especially when my son needs to be on his toes. Well, I was wrong. So far the soles have been holding up after being used 5 days a week for training and 2 tournament so far. The sole don’t look as if they will fall apart anytime soon and after breaking them in at practice there is no problem with the flexibility of the sole. Happy wrestling purchase ... show more
