I'm not sure how a comforter this hefty can also not cause stifling heat, but that's the case. It's got some weight to it which is great, but I'm not burning up. After my last comforter, I realized the importance of stitching in comforters to keep the stuffing from going to the bottom. So, I love the stitching in this comforter. It's easy to wash, feels soft, and feels like it should last quite a while. I love the loops to add a duvet cover. If you don't add a duvet cover, the loops are small enough (and elastic) so they shouldn't bother you. I wouldn't say that this is lightweight or made for all seasons, especially if you live in the South or suffer from hot flashes or night sweats. Since I live in eastern North Carolina, I doubt I'll be able to use this in the summer, but it's "light" enough to use for our mild fall/winter seasons. As title indicates, it's a great blanket, I like the feel of the outside, and it has a good thickness (not too thick or too thin). I love it and its very warm. However, it is advertised as cooling, and my husband still gets pretty warm in it. Maybe it's because of our foam topper we have, or maybe it's the blanket, not sure. But it didn't really change the situation from the blanket we were using before (some sort of polyester blanket). I've also washed it once already successfully, no problem. The media could not be loaded. We love the fluffiness of a comforter but hate how warm we can get during the night. The comforter came really compact and fits just fine in our regular washer machine. I recommend you wash it before placing it on, because it comes really flat, when I took it out of the dryer it was soft and fluffy. We bought the queen size for our super tall full-size bed and it was perfect. IT covered the mattress and box spring and part of the storage area. It has these hooks on each side of the comforter which I guess it's for drying. Overall, very happy with our purchase. It's like a big pillow and does not make us super hot. ... show more

I found this after the one I originally wanted wasn’t available. I took a shot and am really happy with the outcome. I even think this is better quality than my last one. Exceeded our expectations in extremely fast shipping and high quality. ( Product was to be delivered once in stock by February 7th. We received our delivery using Prime on January 29th.) This Dark gray comforter is true to the Amazon picture and description. It's super warm cozy and pillowy soft. We aren't ones to purchase bedding off Amazon and we are extremely happy with our purchase. My bedmate/ husband and I have been using separate comforters for 10+ years as we both like to steal/hog the covers. We threw caution to the wind and went with this Oversized King Comforter for our Queen sized bed to solve this problem. I can honestly say, it is perfect! Yes! We have some hang over on all sides but we weren't going for impressing anyone but more for functionality. Adding, once delivered I threw it in the wash with absolutely no fabrication issues. If you enjoy hot nights laying in a pool of sweat then this is the comforter for you! This comforter is very soft and lightweight; however, this comforter in no way is cooling! As many women of a certain age, I suffer from hot flashes and night sweats. I keep my bedroom thermostat at 68°, and I have two fans running constantly. I enjoy the comfort of being snuggled in a blanket but this is impossible. Reading the information about this product had me excited that I could actually snuggle and remain cool at the same time . It's not as heavy as I thought it would be, but it's really soft and plush for the price. It is certainly an upgrade from the walmart/target comforter I was using before. It's also bigger than I expected it to be. I guess the standard for this is a little oversized so unless you are a major blanket hog, I don't see it necessary to size up. My partner sweats a lot at night but I've noticed he is a lot less sweaty since getting this comforter. I can also use my weighted blanket on top of this comforter without getting too hot.
