I have been working remotely a few days a eeek providing care for my mom who survived a massive stroke. Due to limited space at Mom’s I don’t have a spot to bring my “real computer” - a desktop with 3 full sized monitors. I’ve been working with a laptop and while doable, I have felt the pain of only a single laptop screen which impacted productivity and made simple tasks take much longer. I had been looking at portable second monitors and was surprised at the $200-$400 price tag. I found this beauty on sale for $79 and decided to give it a try. I am beyond pleased!! It is a thin, lightweight monitor but very sturdy, has a Smart Cover that doubles as a stand and comes with every possible cord you need to connect to your device. Set up was super easy, plug the cord to the monitor and laptop. The brightness is adjustable with the push of a button. I changed my laptop settings to expand and am now able to drag different windows to my new monitor. The monitor is so slim and lightweight I plan on taking it with me for future business trips. With the aluminum frame and stand it feels like this monitor could stand up to pretty much anything. Quality of the picture is great enough for what I use it for. The Good: - Amazon delivered in under 5 hours! - $80 cheaper than a comparable Viewsonic model - 3 years of extended insurance was only $22 - Display is bright; colors are crisp and clear. Excellent work display. - Magnetic flip-over case doubles as a stand - Very thin and light - Truly plug 'n play: I have a USB C / Thunderbolt / DisplayPort-alternate laptop, so it's connected like this: 65 Watt USB C laptop power supply => connected to USB C port1 of the monitor, then USB C port 2 of the monitor => connected to laptop USB C / Thunderbolt / DP port on a Lenovo ThinkPad T15. This powers my laptop, the screen, and provides the data connection to the monitor. Super easy!!! The Bad: - Instructions are nearly non-existent. If you don't know what you're doing, you may have trouble figuring out how to get the monitor working. The Support page on the manufacturer's website is broken. - I was unsure of whether or not I was positioning the case/stand correctly. Again, no instructions here. I had to look at product pictures online to see if I had positioned it correctly. - Brand is unknown; I've never heard of them. Website is minimal but they seem to have a developing product line. Overall, an excellent purchase so far. I've only had it a day and I'm already very productive with it. I haven't played any games on it, or used the HDMI connection, but I suspect that it'll perform fine due to its 60 Hz refresh rate. It does come with a nice, compact USB A to C power adapter if you want to use the HDMI input. I almost never write reviews but I will for this since the 1-3 star reviews dont seem fair for what this is. This is a very basic mobile monitor. Can you game on it, probably but its not meant for that imo. This is for someone that travels and needs a second monitor for when your on the go working at a hot desk or in a hotel room. In that regards this thing is amazing. Its exactly what i needed and a steal for sub $100. Did i buy the warranty? sure just in case something happens to it. but can't be happy enough with this thing. I only use it roughly 1-2 times a month when traveling so for what it is, works great. I feel like all the plugs ins work as designed, buttons too. Keep in mind, i did my settings, and put the volume to zero and wont be touching them again unless someone messes with them. If you can use USB C, you wont need to have an additional charger which is amazing to me, it means less to carry. Picture quality is ok, not great but that is what i was expecting i wasn't paying $200 for a partible monitor with vibrant color Gaming, i haven't used it for gaming but with what settings it has and features, i wouldn't use it for anything but a Nintendo switch. ... show more

I originally bought this to use as a second screen while working from home during the COVID scare in 2020 - 2021. Upon returning to the corporate offices, I had no need of it, but thought I'd hang on to it in case we all started working from home again. In the meantime, I used it as a backup screen to connect to my Xbox if our TV was being used for football or something. Well, I ended up moving to Costa Rica, and brought this screen along with me in my luggage (to use for my xbox). I connected this screen to my laptop, and it's been amazing! I do various forms of editing now, and it's so much simpler with two screens. I'm so glad I took the plunge on this purchase. Only two complaints, and one really isn't an issue. 1. The screen's cover doubles as a stand for it, and it's not the most sturdy thing. It's not an issue for me since I have the screen in a tablet holder mounted to my desk. 2. I don't like that the usb-c inputs are on the side of the frame. However, there isn't really a good place to put them as the screen is really thin (like thinner than my Samsung Galaxy phone), so there isn't a spot on the back suitable to locate the inputs. This also isn't really an issue for me since the screen is mounted in such a way that the input cable is hidden behind my laptop screen. It's a really nice extra screen for the price. ... show more
