This screen is excellent for basic needs. I won't be using this for gaming or watching movies, etc. Minutes after it arrived, I ripped it from the box and plugged it into my MacBook pro immediately & had 0 issues. I'm not tech-savvy in any way and had no issue connecting nor adjusting screen settings for the extra screen. The buttons on the right are easy to press and pretty straightforward to maneuver. If you are in grad school or have any heavy reading needs for work/school, this is your go-to. My ONLY "issue" is that the colors on the screen aren't calibrated properly or something because the reds are REALLY red and the blues make a few things look like an avatar character. Again, I wont be using this for photo editing or gaming so Im less concerned about the colors, but it does cause slight issue before I adjust the settings quickly and find a happy medium. **UPDATE** July 2023 I have used this monitor consistently for 7 months and have ZERO complaints. This is really a phenomenal second screen and works perfectly for my needs. It is very portable, easy to set-up, has never glitched and continues to provide excellent usage. While there is a coupon for this screen, GET IT! Its a steal at the current price <$90!

I bought the 13 inch model first. Liked it so much I also bought the 15 inch. As it happens the 15 was on sale and I got it at a lower price than the 13. Huh. Oh well... Here is my review of the 13 inch, and the 15 inch model is all of that, plus two inches. There are a ton of similar items for sale on Amazon. I shopped for what looked to be the best value, and like most people, I pay attention to the reviews. I had three priorities: 1. Ultra portable with a built in stand and cover 2. The ability to use either HDMI or USBC for video. 3. Must be 1080p or higher This one fit the bill. Alongside my MacBook Air 2012, the 13" is about the same size, screen wise, but the Air isn't even 1080p, so I find myself preferring this monitor over the built in one for the desktop real estate and image quality. That was a surprise. I actually purchased this 13" to use with a black magic ATEM Mini Pro ISO live streaming encoder and switcher, planning to also power it with a power bank so I could walk around and plug it into each of several AIDA HD-100A POV cameras for aim and focus. For some reason, when I plug it into the cameras, it never gets an image. I suspect this has something to do with the HDMI protocols and/or frame rate settings on the AIDA camera and the monitor being fairly specific in it's needs, which I have yet to troubleshoot. BUT it always works right away with the MacBook or connected to the ATEM. Regardless, I liked it so much that I just purchased the 15" model as well. The cover is nice and seems to do well as a stand. It's magnetic and works as designed. I'm probably still going to look for an aftermarket tablet type stand for adjustability. Speakers leave a lot to desire, but let's be honest, hearing sound at all is a convenience. The headphone output sounds decent with my beyerdynamic DT880 250ohm headphones, and has enough power to drive them. I could see this being a nice feature for those devices that no longer have HP outputs. I haven't tried this monitor with a mobile device, nothing I have is USBC. Probably as expected, based on my other observations.

First and foremost, this screen is amazon. It is a premium build with actual good quality wires included. I bought this in October in 2023 after watching a YouTube review and it has served me well all this time. I travel a lot so propping this up in the public library or at the cafe is easy. I also use this to work from home, about 8+ hours a day. The price may seem like a lot, but it is 100% worth it. For me, I bought this when it was around $80. The speakers are good not amazing but good. The screen is really amazing though. Its very clear. It would be better if your laptop has a USB C port because 1 USB port and a HDMI port will get used if your laptop doesn't have one. For me, I dont have a USB C port and I use headphones so when you look at my desk, you'll see my headphone wire, HDMI wire, and a USB wire. They do include a HDMI wire, USB, and a USB C wires so don't worry but I'm saying be ready to have a lot of wires to deal with.

I have been working remotely a few days a eeek providing care for my mom who survived a massive stroke. Due to limited space at Mom’s I don’t have a spot to bring my “real computer” - a desktop with 3 full sized monitors. I’ve been working with a laptop and while doable, I have felt the pain of only a single laptop screen which impacted productivity and made simple tasks take much longer. I had been looking at portable second monitors and was surprised at the $200-$400 price tag. I found this beauty on sale for $79 and decided to give it a try. I am beyond pleased!! It is a thin, lightweight monitor but very sturdy, has a Smart Cover that doubles as a stand and comes with every possible cord you need to connect to your device. Set up was super easy, plug the cord to the monitor and laptop. The brightness is adjustable with the push of a button. I changed my laptop settings to expand and am now able to drag different windows to my new monitor. The monitor is so slim and lightweight I plan on taking it with me for future business trips. Excellent product at an excellent price! 5 stars!
