This product was an excellent replacement for my Dyson motor head. I Currently have a the V6. It is slightly smaller than the OEM head, but it is MUCH easier to clean. GRRRRRR. Now I have to return it. BELIEVE me it does NOT fit a V8. The connection has only TWO prongs, and it needs 4. Whomever is saying it fits doesn't know what they are talking about.

This powerhead works very well. The full-length bristles seem to pick up dirt and hair without getting tangled in the brushes. The only downside, and thus 4 stars instead of 5, is that the light uses extra juice so the battery runs out a little faster in a 6600 sq-ft area. Not a big deal for most spaces though. ... show more

I bought a small Dyson hand held and added the long tube and this piece to turn it into a really nice sweeper vac. This piece is made so well! It works beautifully and comes apart easily for cleaning. I have long hair, and all my vacuums get hair wrap. The rolling bar can be removed from this attachment through the side!     • Can’t finish a single room with this one.
The unit works well mechanically, and yes, the light is a nice addition. But using it, the battery dies so fast, I can’t finish a single room. Which is surprising for little LEDs. And of course it’s past or ‘return by’ date, so we’re stuck with it. Buyer beware.
