I am returning these. They are very thin and flimsy. The placemat has no backing material. It is just one piece of cloth that they stitched the edges back. The stitching is nothing like the pictures-the stitching is uneven and they tied off the stitching on the front, not the back which looks messy. Each mat almost looks hand-stitched instead of machine stitched-that is how sloppy they look. I'd be afraid to wash these for fear they'd fall apart. I am disappointed because the image is so cute. They came packaged in shrink wrapped and folded in a messy manner. Don't wast your money on these. I am surprised because I bought different placemats also made by Artoid that I like very much and are well made.

I was afraid I wasn't going to like the placemats when I received them as they were shrink-wrapped and came out very wrinkled. But, once I took them out and ironed them, I did like them. They are a little thin but worked well for our Christmas table and even got complements from our guests.

The color is way off. It looks red in the pictures, but it's more of a brick color, almost orange. I was so excited to receive these, I have also ordered the table runner and throw pillowcases. I ripped this package open and threw it away before I got a good look at them, but holding them in the light and up next to other Christmas decorations, they just don't look right. I don't know if i can return without the packaging? They're very thin, and cheaply made. I was expecting something more in the red or even burgundy color family. If the other items are the same, I will return immediately and just donate these if I can't return. Disappointed, I really like the tree design, but the background color is odd.
