The manufacturer truly aimed to make this look like a fake plant. It looks like the details of the leaves were drawn on. Honestly it looks behind fake. I wouldn't recommend this product.i have bought other fake plants for cheaper that look much better

But it serves my purpose well enough. I can't keep a plant alive to save my soul. I've been replacing my killed foliage with artificial plants the last few months and needed this plant to fill in for a recent dearly departed. Up close sure I see the squiggles that look hand drawn with a sharpie but from more than 2 feet it gives the plant a little variation. My issue is the empty center. All of the leaves are placed in an outer circle leaving the center empty and noticable when placed on a table or down low. A small bag of white rocks is provided, I suppose to camouflage this but still doesn't do it any justice. I solved this problem by swapping out another plant and hanging this one up higher. I like how the vertical leaves draw your eyes up to the macrame detail on the plant hanger. I do wish the plant were slightly wider or adjustable to spread out a little. Overall a decent artificial plant, though the price could be better to reflect the inferior quality.

We "inherited" a real snake plant with the purchase of our home. Within a month, I'd managed to kill it. It was a slow, ugly death, so I chuckle reading the reviews here that gripe that this artificial snake plant doesn't look realistic enough. Let me assure you, it is about 100x more attractive than the "real" one that I couldn't keep alive, and that is plenty good enough for me!
