Having the proverbial black thumb, the angel of death to any potted plant, I was looking for some nice faux greenery for my living room. I had recently purchased a couple of bargain houseplants from a local store and they were quickly going the way of all (plant) flesh and would soon need replacement. I ordered this tree with the hopes that it might look like give the illusion that I might be able to grow a plant indoors. I also ordered a much pricier one from a well known company. Both plants came in one box, the SOGUYI artificial tree in a much smaller one, partially because I'd ordered a smaller one, but also because the trunk was not one continuous piece. The expensive tree appeared to have a trunk of a natural material. The SOGUYI tree's trunk came in two pieces that were easy to connect due to a steel connector inside. It was otherwise, well painted and designed plastic. It looked fairly realistic from a few feet away, but less so up close, especially next to the natural trunk of the other tree. I had a problem with the trunk in that I kept moving the tree around the room to find the best location, and every time I did, I didn't grip the tree low enough on the trunk and it would separate. It was a bit tricky getting the top-heavy part lined up with the lower part now that I'd removed the arrows that showed where to connect them. I eventually solved that problem by gluing the trunk together, and the break between sections is not visible. Both trees came in a small heavy black pot. It is not a sign of poor quality. Almost every artificial tree comes that way. You are supposed to drop the black pot into your own container that goes with your decor. Overall, I liked the SOGUYI tree and might order one again, especially since I can get two for the price of one of the expensive trees. It doesn't look quite the same, but it isn't bad at all but it may be worthwhile to watch for a sale on some of the higher quality brands as well,

Not very sturdy and will not sit on the carpet flat. Wants to slant any way you turn it. Cannot move leaves around to adjust to liking. The weight is good as the material used in the pot is heavy, but the pot is very tiny. Size/height is good, appearance is just okay. Not very versatile. Would not buy again. Would not buy for value for money again.

This plant is very natural looking and very nice quality especially for the money. I did wipe a little more brown on to the trunk for a totally natural look and sitting on my porch you would swear it was a real plant.

These arrived with several leaves partially detached from the stems/branches. The solution presented by both Amazon and the manufacturer was to return and replace them, but I had already broken down and tossed the boxes, so this was not a viable option. As I was stuck with defective trees, I dug out my hot glue gun from storage and bought some new glue sticks for it. I glued the leaves back on (5 leaves on one plant, two on the other), and they seem to be okay for now. I am not sure how long the glue will last, but it is not really noticeable. This was a hassle, but much less of one than packing them up and returning them would have been. I am disappointed I had to repair these, but they are at least serviceable now. They look pretty good, but this product seems to suffer from QA issues in the manufacturing process (they are made in China). The stems I repaired had no trace of glue on them at all, as though the machine which applies the glue had run out of glue and nobody noticed. Fixing them was a hassle I did not sign up for. For the price, I had expected a higher quality product. Incidentally, it should be noted they look pretty good - obviously not real, but from a distance, not bad at all. I will attach a photo. If they were not defective this would be a 4 or 5-star product.

Both plants were excellently packaged, and very easy to fluff/bend branches and leaves. Filled in an empty spot within my landscaping beautifully. (Spot is very shady, hard to grow any plantings)
