  • Onto the 3rd one in a month...but wait, there's reasons
Style: Bump n Go Bubble Train
My nearly 4-year-old ADORES this train. The first one lasted not quite a month, but that's not entirely the fault of the manufacturer. As other reviewers have noted, this little train has a lot of small plastic parts that aren't very durable. My toddler threw it and it ended up snapping off part of the wheel mechanism that makes it go. Destruction at the hands of a toddler doesn't fall under manufacturer warranty in my opinion, so we ordered a new one. The second one experienced the issue several other reviewers have also noted: within about ten minutes, the fan stopped blowing. The train moved and made all the noises, but for whatever reason, the "blower" mechanism of the train was faulty. We've submitted a request for a replacement, hopefully this one will last longer than a month. A FEW THINGS TO HELP YOU OUT: - If you have any living thing in your house that sheds hair, this train will find it. The front wheel assembly rotates so it can navigate itself out of corners/away from walls, and since the little wheels beneath are rubber, it just spins hair up into the mechanism. Eventually, this will cause the train to stop moving (or do a K-turn dance). Luckily, that mechanism comes apart rather easily (it's held together with two tiny screws). Do yourself a favor and use a seam ripper to fish the hair out of the wheel assembly piece. Trying to use scissors will make you insane. We have four pets so we have to frequently clean out the hairs. But using a seam ripper means it only takes 2-5 minutes to cut the wheels loose and put it back together. That's not a manufacturer issue in my opinion (the exact same thing happens to our Roomba), but just be forewarned. - If the train starts to "volcano" bubbles (meaning the bubbles don't fly up into the air, they just collect on the top of the spout), try changing the batteries. We noticed the first thing to stop working effectively when the batteries were running out was the fan mechanism (of the original train before it was broken). The music will still play, the train will still move, but the bubble blower seems to loose strength and doesn't have enough power to launch the bubbles skyward. After replacing with a fresh set, the blower worked just fine again. - You might have to give it a minute for the bubbles to start going. As other reviewers have noted, yes, you may have to turn the train on its side for a minute to feed the bubble juice to the blower. This, I think, isn't due to a manufacturer issue either: I think the train develops "air pockets" inside the unit as the juice runs out. When I refill the bubbles, I carefully turn the train from side to side to free up those bubbles (you'll see the air come up through the funnel if you do this) and that seems to prevent this problem. Overall, I think it's a great product. Could it use a little more durability and better mechanism engineering? Probably. But let's be honest: this is a kid's toy. It was on sale when I bought it for less than $20. I find that an acceptable cost for a less-than-durable toy with rickety engineering. If I had paid the full ~$35, I would probably be less inclined to be generous. But for under $20, I'm willing to put up with a little inconvenience to make the thing keep working and enjoy the relative peace/productivity I achieve when my normally attention-needy toddler is entertained for hours on end by it. ... show more

  • Breaks easily
Style: Bump n Go Bubble Fire Engine
Lasted one day before the ladder easily came off, exposing the wires, and no longer worked. However, my son LOVED it during that time. It drives around, makes noise, and is really cute. Manufacturer needs to fix ladder portion and this would be great.

  • Loud noisy Bubble machine
Style: Bump n Go Bubble Farm Tractor
This is so loud, music has nothing to do with farms or bubbles. Did I say it’s loud and no volume control nor off switch. Makes very nice lill bubbles. When bumps into something it reverses.. wish I had known it was loud!

  • Cool Toy, Breaks Easy
Style: Remote Control Bubble Car
Very cool toy. We had a lot of fun with it with our two year old and he loved his "bubble car." Straight out of the package it's very easy to use, love that it has its own rechargeable battery too! The funnel to fill it up is a nice touch and the bubble bower works pretty good. Sadly it did not survive long. After only a few drops the remote stopped working and only the bubble fan does anything, wheels do not respond. I'd say it's worth getting for some outside fun for a while but don't expect it to hold up for long against the craziness of an energetic kiddo! ... show more
