The minute I showed the colored trumpets to my two nephews (6 years old and 4 years old) they ran through the house with excitement. They both picked the color they wanted and blew the trumpet. The trumpet does not have an authentic trumpet sound. It has more of a winning sound. However, the kids greatly enjoyed blowing it as a trumpet. It held up for Christmas eve and Christmas day. I think it is a nice toy for the kids for however long it lasts. The adults in the room thought the trumpets were noisy. I enjoyed seeing them have fun with it.
