I didn't expect this high quality from the product photo. The beech wood is clear, sanded and varnished beautifully. It came with all its parts and the two tools necessary to put it together. The assembly diagram was easy to understand. The four locking casters each lock independently and enable the user to roll it into position using the handle. There is a little wiggle on the handling (mostly because of the give on the vertical members which don't have cross-bracing) especially if you don't tighten the bolts down all the way. The design would allow you to disassemble it in the future if you change your mind or move but you probably won't want to since this involves a a bit of work. The part I think is missing is a floor shelf which isn't necessary if you only want to store items larger than 20" on at least one dimension. (This applies to the largest size I ordered--your size may differ). I made a floor piece out of two layers of corrugated cardboard and even notched it to accommodate the vertical bars so the shelf wouldn't wiggle out of position. You barely see this when the cart is loaded. This cart is sturdy enough for lighter loads. I wouldn't use it for heavy items. Right now I'm mostly using it to store empty picture frames. Other good uses include storing stretched canvas, sketch boards, lightweight folders and portfolios, framed art, oversize drawing pads, silkscreen or silk painting frames and perhaps even lightweight equipment of the right dimensions such as a tapestry frame. You can also transport framed or unframed work from one location to another on the same premises or use it as a drying rack for work in progress. A great purchase for an art classroom or home studio.

To be honest, I had hoped to use this for moving rolls of leather around (I have a lot). Turns out it is not the perfect application for heavier items, but it will be perfect for safely moving and storing art canvasses. The finish of the wood is very nice and it will certainly look good in a gallery setting. The casters are very sturdy with brakes that can be applied. Assembly was very straightforward. The vertical legs attach to the bottom pieces via threaded inserts in the base of each rail. The horizontal base rails have holes drilled in them that the bolts sit in. The installation kit includes the hex key you will need for assembly. The bolts should be tightened down hard, and should be retightened when you are finished. I found that a few loosened up a bit, which lets the legs flop around a bit. Once assembled, don't put any lateral load up high on the leg - I did so accidentally and caused a crack across the bottom. My fault entirely - the legs aren't designed for that - but use caution. Making sure the legs are fastened snuggly will help. The completed unit rolls around nicely on sturdy casters. To install the casters, you will need to engage the brake on each so it can be spun into it's fitting. The cart handle is a larger diameter rod, and because the legs are shorter, it will take pushing loads a bit better. As I said, I am hoping to move heavier rolls of leather. I think it works well for that if I don't overload by stacking them more than 2 or 3 high. If you need to move narrower items, it would be very easy to add a simple "floor" to the cart - cardboard, plywood, MDF - almost anything will work.
