    • Better than I expected.
Needed one for canvas stretching. My 30 year old stapler requires about 200 foot pounds to work and constantly jams. I was going to buy an electric or pneumatic, but do I really need another piece of gear taking up room? Works perfectly and the staples mount from the outside so no crazy jams.

I have 2 other staplers that can handle multiple staple types. The handles are just to hard to squeeze so I purchased this smaller stapler. Its still a hard squeeze but its far mor manageable than the alternative. I should probably look into a battery powered one since my asd is so weak lol.

    • Sometimes heavy duty is not a good thing.
I have an Arrow heavy duty stapler (professional model). I use it staple paper targets onto cardboard. If you push hard, it collapses the cardboard. If you don't push hard, the staples jam. This light duty stapler works great. You don't need to push hard, and it hasn't jammed yet. I know they call this model "heavy duty", but it's not compared to the chrome plated model Arrow has.     • Worst Arrow stapler I've ever used
This stapler is incredibly hard to load. It does not accept multiple remnant rows of staples, so run it empty every time. The release for the staple load is too easy, so when you bump it your staples all fall out. Where the staples pop out is about 1/4" behind the front of the body, which is a terrible fail!!!     • Great stapler for women
I had tested the T50 at Home Depot and I had to use both hands press the handle. I knew I would not be able to do the job without help. I also tried the T50Red and it felt great, but the reviews were horrible. I bought this one on Amazon based on the reviews. They were right- it's a great stapler. I upholstered 8 dining chairs in 4 hours with no jams. (It was my first time ever doing a DIY project.) I don't think it's as powerful as the T50 and it is definitely smaller. Some of the staples did not go all the way in, but I think it had to do more with my not holding it flat and applying more pressure. I am not strong. So, I just hammered them down a bit, without a major hassle. I recommend it for women or people who do not have that much strength. I read that the 8mm staples were the ones used for upholstery, but I also bought the 10mm and I felt they held the fabric better and went further in. Staples are not included. By the way, I found staples cheaper at home depot than the "add-on item" price here. ... show more
