While I would normally never pay this much for a diffuser, I have a large essential oil collection that realstically will go bad long before I can diffuse it using traditional water-based diffusers, and an ant problem we are trying to keep at bay using certain scents, so I thought I'd give this waterless diffuser a whirl. I received my diffuser this morning, and after giving it a charge, hopped right into it. Its pretty straightforward to use - unscrew the installed bottle, pop the top off the the essential oil you want to use (or alternatively, add some of the oil you want to use into the provided bottle, which might be best if you want to change your scents often), install the bottle by screwing it into the diffuser, then start. I had an issue at first getting it to turn on - it takes a 3 second long press to get it going, and I do mean long press. Which makes sense, because there are only two buttons, and you will be doing long presses to power the diffuser on and off, and short presses to change the settings. Having only had it half a day, I can't yet speak to how fast it will burn through essential oils, but common sense says the higher scent option you chose, the faster it will burn through your oils. I had mine set to the lowest option and put it in the dining room. I was disappointed, thinking I could barely smell it in the living room, but as soon as I went into the dining room and kitchen, I could immediately smell it throughout both rooms. I turned it up to second setting, and the smell seem to drift into the living room as well, but then it was almost overpowering in the dining room, so I turned it back down to the lowest setting. I think the strength of the scent will be partially dependent on what scent you use (i.e. how strong it is), and how strong you have it diffusing. In terms of diffusing power, it doesn't seem as if the diffuser diffuses more of the oil when you chose a higher setting, just more frequently (unlike water-based difussers, which you can diffuse more or less based on the output). Another review pointed out that there was residual oil left on the diffuser itself when it was diffusing, which kind of makes sense, since it is diffusing the oil directly into the air via forced droplets. This seems kind of wasteful, but is inherent to the design - think of how much water vapor you see when diffusing a water-based diffuser and its basically the same principle, just with oil. Mine also had oil residue and droplets on the diffuser, although much less on the lowest setting as opposed to the other settings. I do wish the diffuser had a continuous diffusing option with autoshutoff ‐ I like to turn my diffusers on and let them run until the water (or in this case, oil) is done. Its also a bit of a hassle to change from one scent to another if you dont want to have overlapping scents ‐ once you remove the bottle, a good portion of the previous essential oil remains in the tube, so unless you run an alcohol cycle between scents, you're going to have mixed scents until the old scent is out of the diffuser's system. As far as noise goes, it's pretty quiet - a gentle whirring hum that you can't hear once you step away from the diffuser. So I give it 4 stars for right now, a star off for the cost, which is a bit over the top in comparison to traditional diffusers, and the fact that there is no continuous diffusing option. I will update on the diffuser's performance after using it for a few weeks or months (assuming there are no issues that prevent it from lasting that long). ... show more

Thought this was going to be perfect for my essential oils. For the first week, it was. Then it didn’t work as well…now, barely. I have made the adjustments on the setting, etc. it just isn’t working very well. Not to mention I have to charge it practically every other day after letting it run for 4 hours. I was a bit hesitant on ordering this oil aroma after trying a few, but to be honest it’s probably the best I’ve tried under $70. I have been considering a higher end up but I do like the fact that this one accepts most fragrance oils, and the charge last quite a while. I did wish it had an auto mode of some sort as it only has 1,4,8 hour settings I believe. But not a dealbreaker. Overall it’s great for the price. ... show more

I bought this to help manage the environment in my 800 sq foot apartment. Right now it's just me (59 year old man) and 2 mini-aussies. It can get pretty dank smelling if I don't take active measures. So, this product is just one of several things I do to keep my place smelling nice. I use several Febreeze plug-in air fresheners in each room and keep them up-to-date. I use freebreeze aerosol spray every few days and now I use this diffuser. In the past I've used the water based diffusers and read-based diffusers without any luck. This unit makes a definite difference - quickly! When it's running, you know it's running because the place smells like cinnamon. However, the smell isn't "long lasting". Once the unit shuts down - I usually run it in the two-hour mode - the place goes back to smelling "normal". I'll be trying it with different scents and oils as time goes by - but the cinnamon is dreamy good! ... show more

This product works as described and has several pros and cons. Choosing this as a daily diffuser really depends on what you are looking for and how much you can spend on your EO use. Pros: - I like the three different settings so you can adjust the intensity of the aroma. - The aroma is strong (in a good way). - For an atomizer, it is EXTREMELY quiet. I would say it is quieter than some standard diffusers (the type with the water) that I have used in the past. - It has a sleek design that can easily blend into your home decor, or hidden on a shelf. - Compact and portable - Rechargeable battery life is sufficient. Cons: - The BIG downside to this product is the amount of oil it uses. - one 15 ml bottle approximately half-full will only last for three or four uses on the one-hour setting with the aroma intensity level set at two. - The aroma setting at three used up a 15 ml bottle approximately half full in just one hour! Overall this product would be nice to use if you need to quickly freshen your home or need a quick and intense atomization of EO. If you have no issues replacing your EO frequently and the cost of replacing EO is not an issue for you then this would be a great atomizer to use daily. If not for the amount of oil it uses I would have given it five stars. ... show more
