I’ve never owned a pair of boots in my entire life but a friend recommended I get a pair for a dress I was wearing to her daughters wedding. I searched on line for the most comfortable cowgirl boots available & Ariat was highly rated. I have 6 1/2 size feet but because they are wide, I wear a 7. I also have muscular calves (another reason why I never owned boots). I received these boots on Friday and the wedding was the next day. The first time I put them on, I barely got my foot past the ankle. I’m fearless & wanted these boots… so I maneuvered my feet in & walked around. Very comfortable. Wide and wonderful. Getting them off the first time was a feat … husband and son helping to pull them off. Again, I am fearless & wanted these boots. I put them on the morning of the wedding. They slid on easier - still a little tight at the ankle but easier. I walked around. I was winning this battle, they were stretching as leather will do. This time, I was able to remove them myself … not easy but I did it. I decided to put on a pair of thin ankle / trouser socks to soften the ankle area of the boot. Worked perfectly! I wore the boots to the wedding… a crazy idea as new shoes almost always hurt … not a blister, not a pain, not a problem. This boot war was won & I am now the new and proud owner of my first cowgirl boots. I know with time, they will get even more comfortable and easier to put on & take off. My daughter eyed them with the hope that she would get them since they at first didn’t “fit”. Not. Happening. I love these boots.

Did some research and was told these boots run true to size, so I got a 10 in women's. They were quite large. I had to size down a full size and then went with a 9, half size down wouldn't have been enough. Really great and cute boots, especially in this specific design (powder brown)

This is a beautiful boot with typical Ariat quality. However the sizing is way off. It’s true to size as far as the width goes, but the boot length is too long. I always wear a size 9, European 40, Australian 6.5. My feet are pretty run-of-the-mill; Not super wide not super narrow, not a super high or super low arch. With this boot, I had to go down a full size to a size 8 in order to get the length right, but then had to go up to a wide to get the correct width. Once you get the right size, these boots are super comfortable. I didn’t even really need a break in period. I wore them to the California State Rodeo all day with no problems. Highly recommend, just make sure you get the sizing right. If you’re like me, you will want to go down a full size and be careful about the width once you do.

Yesterday I received these boots. I take a size 8.5M in womens size. So, after reading all of the reviews, I ordered a 8M as most posters indicated that their regular size was too big. The 8M fits well on the right foot. Wiggle room in the toe, but comfortable. Now, the right foot is a different story(I am right handed). It was difficult for me to get the boot on, but after a little struggle it went in and the fit is snug! They are comfortable and Ill be walking around the house to decide whether or not I will keep them. It all depends on the right foot after a little wear. I ordered the brown with robin egg blue stitching and copper backing. They are a nice looking boot, but the square toe makes my feet look huge, even though they are a size smaller than my regular size shoe. I hope this review helps you in making your decision to purchase. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is the difficulty with the right boot fit.

The photos are a little confusing. I believe the first and last photos of the "brown" boot is actually the "powder brown" matte color. The rest of the photos, are correct - the "powder bronze brown" boot is a shiny, medium-dark brown with bronze inlay, and turquoise stitching. I thought I was getting a light tan matte boot, so I didn't realize I was getting the color I got... But I'm so glad I got the one I did! Let me say this, when I opened the boot box I literally gasped "omg, this is SO beautiful"! I was going to a party and planned on wearing a pale turquoise sundress and cowboy boots - I didn't want my look to scream Western, but I wanted a hint of modern boho-country. The turquoise stitching on the boot coordinated perfectly with my dress and the bronze was a nice touch of girly glitz, but in a subtle way. They definitely get noticed because they're just gorgeous! These boots are like an accessory, so I kept my dress and jewelry simple. I can also see these showcased with jeans, leggings or a prarie skirt. Ariats eye on quality is amazing. The stitching - the color and the fit of this boot is perfect. All that leather smells wonderful and there's so much attention to detail! Even the packaging is detailed and high-end to maintain the boots shape. It was packed with care. I purposely chose a wide size and square toe for comfort and room for cushioned socks. I also prefer the more modern look of a square toe. The wide size had plenty of wiggle room for a sock. I didn't have any blisters or issues wearing it for the first time. If you don't plan on wearing thick socks or you prefer a tighter fit, you don't need to order in wide. I think it's best to try different styles. I had ordered a pointed-toe boot by the same maker and had difficulty walking as it hit my shins at an odd angle. When you find the right style/color and fit - you'll fall in love!
