  • Finally! New school shoes!
Size: 7.5 Color: Black
A leather boot that finally fits! 7.5 usually a narrow width, flat footed refuse orthotics. For shoveling snow and standing/walking at work 8-10 hours a day. Well balanced, comfy toe box,, flat heel, full laces, good tread. Elastic ankle inserts perfect. Well beyond riding age not waterproof but add wool socks... Expensive but worth it like good car tires. ... show more

  • Serviceable boot -- extremely comfortable!
Size: 9 Color: Light Brown
UPDATE: These are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn! In addition to wearing v well for many miles of riding on my horseback safari in southern Africa, they were absolutely comfortable to walk in on the street and in the bush. Due to weight restrictions on small planes, they were the only shoes I had left for the last week of my trip, and now I can't recommend them enough! Raising my score from three stars to five! (Still a bit nervous about size variations, though, if I were to order again.) After carefully comparing reviews about fit, I ordered a size 9B for my 9 1/2 wide feet. They fit exactly right! Not sure if the company has quality control issues, or uncertainty about how to size its products or what. While they seem serviceable enough, the overall quality of these boots has convinced me to hold onto my old pair (Trojan?) of all-leather paddock boots for as long as possible -- they're going to the shoe man tomorrow for reconditioning! These new-style boots with the hooks at the top instead of eyelets don't send me at all. Sure they're quicker to lace up, but it's not a sign of a well-made boot. And the cheap rubber tongue -- what's that about? Another sign of failing quality. ... show more

  • Best boots ever
Size: 7.5 Color: Black
I have bought multiple pairs of these boots. I live in them. They're exceptionally comfortable. I've used them in the barn, for riding, and for work. I can't count how many trips around the riding ring these things have made while I teach. They're not just for the barn, they look great under dress pants and they're amazingly comfortable. I buy one pair a year and wear them CONSTANTLY. They're comfortable to drive in. I wear them to work, I wear them to ride, and if I'm showing saddleseat on Sunday, I just break out the polish because these things will SHINE with a little polish and some elbow grease. Ariat has never let me down. I won't even look for another paddock boot again. These soles don't slip on an oil-soaked garage floor (I work in a car dealership) and they clean up very nicely with saddle soap and polish. I usually get about a year out of a pair, but I wear these EVERY SINGLE DAY for about 12 hours a day. These boots work as hard as I do. My boots get many, many miles on them and I am more than happy to replace them as I kick the crap out of them. This is the only pair of shoes I buy. You will not be disappointed. ... show more

  • Perfect paddock boots
Size: 6.5 Color: Black
Part time riding instructor and pleasure rider. I love these paddock boots. Some days I wear them 10 hours for lessons and rides. Super comfortable and pretty much broken in from the start. I tried the cheaper ariat style that was also zip up and hated them. My last pair of ariats lasted 10 years! Do yourself a favor and go with the more expensive ones and your feet will thank you !! ... show more

  • Good fit. Good support. Comfortable. Nice looking riding/paddock boot.
Size: 9 Color: Black
I’m a size 9B. The boots fit perfectly. They don’t pinch or rub anywhere. Good support and fit around the ankle. They have a nice sculpted, cushioned insole that cradles your heel perfectly. Roomy, sturdy toebox. (I can wiggle my toes) There is just the right amount of padding at the top, with thick, sturdy elastic gussets in the back so that the boot doesn’t chafe around the top when you bend your ankle. If you’re trying to decide between this boot and the less expensive Ariat “Scout”, the leather on this boot is of better quality (will polish up better, and looks like it will hold up better) and this boot has one more set of eyelet hooks in the ankle area than the “Scout” does. It makes for a better fit and less wobble. The boot is sturdier, better looking, and worth the added expense over the less expensive “Scout”. Like any other leather product, it might take a few rides to break them in to your exact liking. ... show more

  • I don't own a horse! Its for a broken ankle.
Size: 9 Color: Light Brown
I wear a size 9 boot/shoe and these were just too small for me. I ordered a 10B and love them. The foot area is very roomy yet I get great ankle support. I don't even own a horse. I broke my ankle and I needed something that would give me support hoping to not have to keep wearing the physical therapy boot while I rehab my muscles. That will take a long time. It is doing exactly that. If my foot should swell, I have room. I can also loosen the laces if need be. This book is working better than the rehab boot without all the clumsiness. I am very impressed with the comfort. NICE leather. I will wear these boots for a very long time! The somewhat small might just be me and a damaged foot/ankle. That said, I thought the other foot felt small as well. This boot in one size up rocks!! ... show more
