Growing up on a working horse farm in Pennsylvania, I was one of eight kids and spent my childhood surrounded by animals – horses, sheep, pigs, chickens, dogs and cats. I have a special memory of sitting in front of the TV in 1973, watching Secretariat win the Kentucky Derby. He went on to win the Triple Crown, setting records that still stand today. Secretariat’s big heart and competitive spirit were the motivations behind naming our company Ariat. Ariat was founded as “The New Breed of Boot.” We were the first to integrate athletic footwear technology into boots for equestrian athletes. Today, our world-class product team builds innovative and award-winning performance products for all types of outdoor and work environments. Comfortable shoe,true to size. As what one other review stated, the laces that come with these are a tad to short. I also like to double knot the lace. They come with 34" so I purchased some 38" laces which worked to my liking.

I love these things , thinking of buying a 2nd pair in case they stop making them , that’s how much I like them. They fit perfectly, they are very light . I wish the laces are a tad longer so I could double knot them is the only negative thing I can say. I have to wear steel toes for work and putting these on instead is like a vacation for my feet . The shoes are great my 2nd pair, yet very expensive and not as durable as you initially might think. The stitching comes apart where any crease might form in the leather specifically near the ball of the foot. Very Comfortable. Waterproof , unless stiching comes undone or breaks. Would purchase again only if I wear less aggressive like as a hiking -and hard -working shoe and rather, a casually worn walking shoe that feels and looks good and worked less aggressive and not wet as often... The free gift card you can scan that comes with your shoes is just a "gift" of 10% off an already expensive item if you order from their website another item.
