As other buyers have mentioned, these jeans tend to rip/ tear and not after very long. I bought two pair, and one ripped out around the left rear pocket after maybe 5 washings. Still new. The other pair made it a bit longer (20 washings?) but are nowhere near old enough to fall apart. They fall apart right around where the pockets meet the main part of the fabric and the holes vary from 1/2” to over 3” on the newer ones that I already had to throw out. I’m 6’ tall and weigh about 165. Wearing 31x34. They are not tight, and this is the same size I’ve been buying for 30 years. Absolute trash quality ... show more

    • If You Like Jeans Ripping, But These Jeans
I’ve owned at least 10 pairs of these jeans over the last several years; however, I won’t be buying these or any Ariat jeans anymore. I’ve now had three pairs of Ariat jeans in a row rip. With the exception of one of three, they’ve all ripped along the inside edge of the left back pocket. The one exception ripped along the left pocket, I sewed it back together and then (yep) the jeans ripped open along the inside edge of the *right* pocket. And I’m not talking about a one inch opening. They all ripped at least 3 or more inches in length. The last pair that ripped had a tear approximately 5 inches. Basically could have put my fist through it. Granted, these jeans were older, but still under a year. I also was wearing them at work, but I had nothing in my left hand pocket on the ones that ripped there and only my wallet in the right hand pocket of the one that ripped there. I was also simply leaning over or squatting down when the rips occurred. And this is not a seam (stitching) ripping, this is the actual fabric tearing, as if it were dry rotted. I brought the jeans back where I bought them, but didn’t have a leg to stand on as they were moderately used. I will never buy from Ariat again, even though I was a 10x repeat customer. These jeans are of extremely poor quality. I could buy a pair of jeans at Wal-Mart that are of equal or better quality than these. Buy at your own risk. ... show more
